Burren has live Irish music 7 nights/week & fantabulous Guinness. While you're there chat with Java behind the bar - don't worry, you'll eventually be able to decipher his thick Irish accent.
A geniune "Irish Pub" with live music, quality Guinness, and pub food.
The beer's nice and all, but do yourself a favor and order a basket of fries with curry on the side.
Bellhaven on tap is a blessing, try one.
skip the Guinness and try a Belhaven instead!
The pick up Celtic folk bands that play here on weekend afternoons and at random other times are awesome if you can catch one! As others have said the curry fries rock too :)
Skellig in Waltham is owned by the same people! (Similar resemblance inside)
Stand-up comedy show on most Wednesdays at 10pm.
They have Killkenny on tap! My favorite!
Try and get a seat in the front if you want to avoid a busy atmosphere. Also, be sure to order an Otter Creek Black IPA, amazing blend between a Guinness and nice IPA.
Just go with a $3 pabst
A great alternative for brunch when Johnny D's has too long of a wait.
Get the Irish breakfast for weekend brunch.
The only place I've seen with Harpoon Winter Warmer. Yay!
One of the best places anywhere to get a Guinness.
Tuesday night is open mic and there's live music most evenings, but we suggest you go Wednesday at 10 for the Back Room comedy night.
Guinness Guinness everywhere. Grab a glass and listen to Irish music
Get this: the back room is full of tables and you can easily get a seat if you show up at happy hour, instead of peak hour.
Great Trad Session in Front Room. Get there early. Back Room jammed for Rock Cover Band on Saturday Night. The Place was Rockin'. 26+6=1.
lacking enough hooks to hang your coat, but there are a few under the bar.
You should probably dance
Yessir, the Belhaven on open Mic night!
Camp out here on a snowy weeknight, preferably one w/ an Irish folk band playing!
want a Dark & Stormy? The Burren has Gosling Ginger Beer!
Scattershot (Live Cover Band) on Thursdays!
A lot of fun.
Good for beer maybe but the good way terrible. Mahi Mahi was completely flavorless and the pulled pork was dry and was mostly bread. Wouldn't go again.
Classy Irish pub but when I say classy, imagine yourself next to rough hewn benches, no-name musicians, draught beer they pour the head off unto slats, and delectable food.
Cool spot to grab a pint of Harpoon!
To echo what's been said before - skip the Guinness, get the Belhaven.
Rude yuppies gather here. Staff was ok. Drinks... Meh. Ok.
If you can... Get here on Sunday nights for Tom Bianchi and co, and Tuesday nights for open mic night hosted by the incredibly talented Hugh McGowan!!! Both in the back room =)
Best 80s cover band ever. Thursday nights, no cover, starts around 10:30p. So good!
Fresh mussels, bread, not do. 1970s prices.
Don't go there too late or you can't get a beer to save your life!!!
The BURREN should be designated a MASS Heritage Site: great music, great atmosphere, "No Bud & No Pitchers" too ~
One of my favourite place in somerville with good live music and nice crowd ;)
Start your weekend right with Thursday Burrsday. Or, go for beers or brunch any other time.
The best Guinness in town.
There's a Mediterranean sampler on the menu. It may not be traditional Irish fare, but it is delicious.
Per the bartender - the apple head shipyard is crap.
Get a Guinness and listen to the shitty bands in back. Can't go wrong.
Glasses were dirty. Overall friendly staff GREAT PLACE!
Early weekdays the patio is wide open n live music all the time
The fish n chips and tartar sauce with a harpoon ipa outside on a warm summer night...can't get any better than that
When you ask for a pint at an Irish Pub they should know to bring you a Guinness.
