City Bakery serves world class breakfast pastry, a salad bar buffet like no other for lunch, soups, sandwiches and specialty pizzas. City Bakery is home of New York's favorite hot chocolate as well as the one and only "Pretzel Croissant".
It's true - the hot chocolate is the best.
Breakfast by the pound is awesome but so pricey.
The pumpkin pie is delicious... Just not sure it's worth $45.
Famous hot chocolate is like hot liquid chocolate. Very thick and rich
it may be worth to try once for a cup of decent hot chocolate, but other than that everything else is really unpleasant. Dirty place, gross smells, loud, and inefficient use of space.
Amazing hot chocolate
They're known for their cookies, and for good reason. Very dense, but in a delicious way.
Liked the lunch bar by would come back for the bread pudding.
Good croissants, they were warm when we got them 👍
Hot chocolate month in February - don't miss it
Eat French toast at least
Beware of iced coffee: I am literally shaking after just one glass.
"Pretzel" Croissant worthy of the hype. So much butter. Could eat a million
Salad bar amazing. Baked goods to die.
Hot chocolate is incredibly smooth and good
Hot chocolate pretzel croissant and chocolate chip cookie combo was the bomb. Friendly staff. :)
get yourself some baked mac n cheese or go home
The chocolate chip cookie is colossal, heavenly, and delicious.
The pretzel croissant as well as the snack pizza. Can't go wrong here
15% off bike discount!
Their buffet bar in the back is the best in the city. I had their white bean and roasted tomato soup, and loved every bit of it. So many delicious and healthy options!
Chocolate Chip Cookies. One of the best in the city.
The pretzel croissant was really good, but the chocolate was too heavy for me. It looks cute with the giant marshmallow tho (: a niceplace to seat down with a friend and have a snack.
Pretzel croissant! I was skeptical but it is worth the carbs. Will try to save some for my hubby:)
Without question the best hot chocolate in the city. Do not argue with me on this.
Great space with the upstairs balcony. Food is yummy but expensive
most delicious & most overpriced salad bar in the city.. has gone downhill over the years & overall, needs a makeover..
Great to satisfy your sweet tooth, but I would skip the hot chocolate unless you're there for the February festival.
A popular meeting spot for techies. Lots of tables and high spellings. A bit overpriced bites & coffee.
The hot chocolate is bomb.com. It's rich so bring some water!
Pretzel Croissant, Peanut butter cookie, and delicious hot chocolate with marshmallows!!
"It's like they melt a bar of really good quality chocolate into a cup and serve it to you with a homemade marshmallow."
Had the hot chocolate with the handmade marshmallow and the pretzel croissant. The hot chocolate was extremely rich and very sweet. The croissant was a must have. Flaky exterior and soft interior.
I personally think the hot chocolate is extremely overrated. It's bitter, thick and expensive ($7 for a small w/ a marshmallow). Not going here again. Sorry not sorry.
The hot chocolate tasted like tar, it felt like i was swallowing cement. It was too thick. After drinking not even half of my wasted money, I ate dollar pizza to get the nasty taste out of my mouth.
The place is very cute, but the hot chocolate is terrible and the price was ridiculous.
Pretzel croissant on a trillion
Their Hot chocolate is like drinking crack...o m g...
Pretzel croissant and hot chocolate make for a salty sweet combo you can't refuse.
Amazing... Too bad is too expensive....
They have delicious croissants, yes. But that's all. There's nothing special about this place.
City Bakery's hot chocolate is a classic for a reason. It's thick and rich, almost like pudding and incredibly chocolate-y. Add a homemade marshmallow and you got dessert for 2 people.
The food bar is delish!! But a little pricey for me personally it's my occasional splurge. If you're seeking indulgent? Omg Mac n cheese :p
Hot chocolate w/ marshmallows just makes me feel... wow.
Hot chocolate, to die for!
Only thing I've ever ordered here is the hot chocolate. It's incredibly rich. Go during the hot chocolate festival in February.
