Of all the British pubs in this city full of British pubs, the Dandelion is the one that hits closest to home for expat royalists and those who love them.
Stephen Starr's most exciting restaurant. From cured salmon to the best duck liver mousse in town... You cask beer drinkers will be very happy with the drink selection, too. [Eater 38 Member]
Comfy leather chairs face the upstairs fireplace. Or linger over an Imperial pint by the downstairs fire.
Stephen Starr does it again, and this time with a British inspired pub. This gastropub knows makes delicious Cumberland Sausages with Mashed Potato and Onion Gravy and Beer-battered Fish and Chips.
Order the A-list fish and chips dish which starred on The Best Thing I Ever Ate TV show.
Proof that pub fare is more than a fad here: the fish-and-chips, which achieves the pinnacle of moistness and flavor when its crust puffs up to encase the cod, letting the steam work its magic.
Enjoy The Dandelion's UK inspired gastropub fare with their food-friendly beer list featuring U.K. drafts and bottles that are rare stateside, along with three, constantly-rotating cask ales.
The pork belly is very good. Awesome fries too.
Deviled egg and the lamb shepherd pie is Yummy!!!
The traditional roast is available on Sundays or bank holidays. Roast sirloin of beef w/ Yorkshire pudding, watercress, roast potatoes, horseradish sauce + beef gravy.
Great pimms cup
Try the Pimm's Cup
This multi-floored British pub is a high end version of what you'd find downtown at The Dark Horse. Go for the food in particular, our recommendation being their triple-fried chips.
Weinhenstephaner Heiffeweissen from the oldest brewery (founded circa 1040) plus $4 deviled eggs wrap up a night oh so well.
Chocolate pudding is a must for dessert. Unexpectedly different.
The ketchup is awesome
Devikked eggs are delicious and well-presented
Best meal in Philly! Fancy pub fare in a lovely atmosphere (it used to be two residences) on multiple levels--literally!
For brunch, order the beet cured salmon (trust me) and the poached egg with bubble & squeak. If there's a wait, head to the top floor bar and scope a seat instead.
The burger is excellent
This is a wonderful place for drinks and dinner. I would highly recommend the duck and chicken liver parfait - amazing. The atmosphere and decor are great as well. This place is a keeper.
The chicken-duck liver parfait is their signature dish. It's the perfect balance of sophistication, interest, and comfort. If you're not eating it, you're doing something wrong.
The Eggs Benedict is to die for!
Chicken and duck liver parfait is a must!
Try the Duck Liver Plate - Definitely the best
I love the Organic Honeydew beer! Also enjoyed the $2 deviled eggs during happy hour
Sounds scary, tastes great: chicken duck liver parfait, beer flip.
You must order the Pimm's Cup...it is a tasty treat.
Get the Summer Flip. Refreshing cocktail!
The Scotch Honeysuckle drink is delicious!
Lamb Sheppard's Pie is amazing. Abbott Ale on tap was excellent too. Beautifully designed space.
Try the Roasted Chicken then the Hot Chocolate Pot for dessert!
Bring a flashlight, it's dark!
The London Underground is a new dessert you can't miss - it's like a gourmet candy bar. And if you are lucky enough to have Cameron as your server, be sure to follow his suggestions-I never regret it!
Fancy cocktails in pitchers, and crowd pleasers ranging from fish and chips to Shepards pie to crab risotto make this place a must - experience
dat rabbit pie- pastry chef game too nice
If you're not into the English fare, come for a fireside hot toddy (not on the menu) and the rosemary roasted bar nuts. They're incredible.
Go for the chicken and duck liver parfait and the crispy pork belly! Amazing!
Dandelion salad is light and refreshing! Good beer selection too!
Double Chocolate Stoudt on Nitro is great.
Get the burger. Delicious :).
Cute place. Good happy hour. Try the deviled eggs and Mac n cheese.
Had the trout and a friend had the roasted chicken.. Absolutely to die for... And don't forget to try a fancy cocktail!
Turkey club - do it - you won't be disappointed.
The Epcot of British pub culture. Come to admire the decor, they did a great job with it. Don't come expecting gastro-divinity. Because the food is mediocre. And not in the British way.
Beet marinated salmon, rabbit pie, pork belly, toffee pudding, chocolate pot, shoot yourself. It won't get any better.
