The Edison is a world class lounge that retains architectural and mechanical artifacts; an homage to its history as the first private power plant in Downtown Los Angeles. Created by Andrew Meieran and Marc Smith.
Cool vibes, like traveling backwards in time. Don't like the $10 cover though...
Amazing decor and atmosphere, great staff
Great, cozy place in downtown LA for a cocktail. Beautiful interior
These absinthes are on their menu - Clandestine, Kubler, Lucid, Matahari (yuck), Pernod,St. George, Vieux Carre. Does anyone know what else they have there? Maybe Jade 1901?
It's hot out have on nice shorts, shirt,n tie. Seeing a nola style band, can't come in bc no shorts allowed. Fucking stupid snobby LA. The townhouse in Venice is more legit then this faux trendy spot
Venue: Fun and unique. 20s speakeasy meets steam punk. Bar: Ok. People: No real dress code or face control. Expected much better but still a cool place.
The place looks great, has plenty of space and the staff is really good. Not much else to say really.
This place is a must to try once. Love the setting and dressing up once and awhile but make sure you have the cash to spend. Loved the maple bacon beer nuts & The Elvis is a perfect finish.
Great show. But the old fashion wasn't the best I had.
Food and drinks were so good! Atmosphere is awesome too
"Celebrates an era of invention & imagination-the blending of science, art, and industry." Make reservations & dress to impress; embrace the roaring 20's style.
Great place to go w a group. Unique place to explore and enjoy a drink :)
The place is gorgeous the Edison drink is way too sweet but the other drinks are excellend
Nice speakeasy. No trainers so make sure to wear smart clothes to get in!
Men, wear a collared shirt and classy leather shoes or they won't let you in. No sneakers.
Sometimes they have burlesque shows.
Sometimes their is a burlesque show.
Large bar in downtown LA. Steam punk. Very hip. Good drinks. Fun atmosphere but usually a line on weekends.
One of my favorite bars to go to in downtown. It's a spectacle to behold with dark corners and intimate spaces. Love seeing the absinthe fairy darting about serving absinthe.
The vibe, atmosphere ans drinks are perfect
Cocktails with #MezcalElSilencio the best!! Great sevice by BC Hoffman at the bar, awesome performance and the place is amazing!! #SharetheSilence 🐇
Love the speak easy feel if this place! Great cocktails, but the 20's vive makes me order vodka martinis.
My friend Daphne says, "My personal favorite bar. 20s themed bar located in a former electricity factory - great cocktails."
Kobe sliders! Perfection
Fantastic atmosphere, a gorgeous decor and a seemingly limitless selection of drinks.
It's ok not all thar too hoytee toytee for me
This place and perch are probably the best places downtown.
Try out one of their wonderful selections of #absinthe from France‼️ #downtownLA
STILL the most breathtaking space in Los Angeles, arguably in the entire US. Get a table, enjoy your company and a terrific show. Amazing.
1. They have absinthe. 2. It was actually an old power station so all the equipment is real. 3. They have absinthe.
Service is very slow on weekend nights because it's so busy- be prepared for a very long wait for food and drinks.
$10 cover charge to eat dinner? WTF?
$10 to get in and a minimum of $50 worth of orders per person if you want to get a table. There's a strict dress code so don't be shy to dress to the nines.
Very strict dress code for a bar.
On Halloween night the Edison resurrects the Dark Spirit of Halloween Past, featuring an otherworldly gathering of diabolical attractions and apparitions from across the globe.
They have nonalcoholic cocktails!
What Bullshit!! Bouncer came by to say u can't dance in a circle. FU Edison.
Fucking time warp!
If you're hungry get the mini sliders. They are delicious!!!
Speakeasy meets Steampunk with some great old school tunes. One of the coolest bars I've ever been to.
My new fave drinks House of Morgan and Happy Herbie. Wow! Wow...
Every so often Miss Dakota performs burlesque show with Big Willies Burlesque ... She also teaches & conducts burlesque bachelorette parties Missdakota.com
As far as drinks go, try The Mistress.
Upscale but not as pretentious as we thought it would be (a good thing!) Dress code for men requires collared shirts and dress shoes and is strictly enforced.
