World-renowned - The Fairmont San Francisco hotel presents an awe-inspiring picture of historic San Francisco. The grandeur of the hotel coupled with its reputation for impeccable service promises a truly memorable experience.
It is said that every US President since William Howard Taft has stayed at this hotel. This hotel is the first place Tony Bennett ever sang “I Left My Heart in San Francisco.”
In 1945 the Fairmont hosted international statesmen for meetings culminating in the creation of the United Nations. The UN Charter was drafted in the hotel's Garden Room.
On May 20, don your black- or white-tie best and grab a mask for the debut of S.F. Symphony & Symphonix's Masked Ball. The Venetian Room will be dripping with decadence, champagne and music.
The place to stay in SF
Great hotel, decently priced. Great views from the rooms for the most part because of its location on top of Nob Hill. If you're not staying here, the lobby is worth a visit + drink in the lounge.
How to get free wi-fi in the room: go to lobby, login to free wi-fi there, go to fairmont.com, register in President's Club (free), and you'll get membership number you use for free wi-fi in the room.
United Nations founded here and at Grace Cathedral
Request an exterior-facing room for one of the best views of San Francisco
Walk up Mason 6 times in 2 days and you'll feel great!
If you sign up at fairmont.com for president's club, you get free wifi and gym usage - even on your first stay. Just sign up before you go to the gym.
I love it💖❤💃💃😍😍😍
Head to the Tonga Room for great adult beverages.
Their shampoo, conditioner & lotion is worth the price. Indulge yourself!
The Tonga Room downstairs is wild, tacky tiki fun. Order a Volcano and call a cab.
Be sure to take in the view from the rooftop garden and definitely don't miss having a Mai tai at the tonga room!
Love the Lifestyle Cuisine Plus Menu for guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions...a huge plus for gluten-free diets!
The garden room just off the lobby use to be the library where the UN charter was adopted
Nothing has changed since 1912. Especially the staff...
Fantastic location and quality of service.
Parking is rather expensive at the hotel
Get a suite... a shower, a shave, a feel of a suit. Then get your haircut on the balcony, get some sun.
Coming from japan, it is worlds apart in comp services. After paying 400+ for a room, shouldn't the gym be complimentary?
Take the lobby elevator to the parking level and exit through the garage or cafe and you're right at the Powell st cable car stop.
No free wifi.
Although the hotel is so beautiful, but I don't like the room ! I was in many hotels so I know the room must have a good smell! Our bathroom, after every shower smelled like old pipe!
Don't forget to check out Tonga downstairs! One of the coolest restaurant lounges I've been to
Walking around the hotel area can be tough with the hills but great work out
Ask for Michael at when needing restaurant recommendations/directions at the concierge desk
Ask for Michael at the concierge desk-super nice!
There isn't a unique 360 degree view in the penthouse @Eduardo. Bad tip! The only place with 360 views at the Fairmont is in the Crown Room on the top floor of the tower. Penthouse is a hotel room...
Try the sliders at the Laurel Court- they're perfect!
one of my fave places in the city - rooftop garden. nice staff, especially @ cento. best tea!
Definitely go for the rooms with a view, otherwise you get to look at the inside courtyard, which is pretty awful.
No free gym.. Booooo!
The eggs Benedict is tasty!
Needs a step up in their game. No complimentary gym? Paid internet, in 2014? Breakfast is overpriced - go have it somewhere else. Also, the decor is looking a bit tired.
Hot Apple Pie
I was not satisfied with Internet. The price of Internet is to high and just one device can connected with one account !
Hotel in dire need of refurb. My "deluxe" room didn't even have power at the (scruffy) desk in the room - was told that they'd send me an extension cable instead. My tip? Don't.
~$40+tip cherry rose tea was good but light. Amazing orange/mango mini tart and lemon spread
For the rich peoples.
Swinerton Builders was the contractor!
gummies, yummies and tea
