The Flight of the Biscuit: Atlanta's favorite brunch joint all started with the original Flying Biscuit location in Candler Park. The franchising rights went to Raving Brands in 2007.
This is the original. All other are imitators. You haven't eaten Flying Biscuit until you visit its mecca. Order a box of biscuits to go.
Two words: creamy grits. Their grits will make any other bowl of grits elsewhere taste like dog poo to you. In other words, try the grits.
Possibly one of the finest breakfast meals I have ever had, and that is saying something.
The first door on the corner is for the bakery. Keep walking two doors down for the dining room. It's the door by the sign hanging out over the sidewalk.
Love the biscuits and applebutter
The cheesy grits are amazing
Best grits and French toast ever
Dreamy creamy cheese grits :-)
The fruit was fruit and Apple jelly is crack
Try the Bacon, Egg And Cheese Biscuit - Simple and delicious (via @Foodspotting)
I really didn't like this place. The steak was awful and the biscuits were stale. The only decent part of my meal was the eggs. Also expect to wait in line for a table for at least 15 mins. 3/10
Grits, grits, and grits. Whatever u get get it with grits!
Crazy good biscuits....and the sweet tea is amazing.
OMG, everything was delicious. But the weekend Johnnycakes and dreamy grits were worth writing home about. "Dear mom and Dad...."
You want the creamy dreamy grits.
Turkey Hash is Amazing!! GRITS are out of this World!!!
Tasty and with lots of personality
This my fav place to come to on an afternoon during the week for brunch. Bring a book or a newspaper and enjoy!
Turkey pot roast with mash potatoes and green beans is awesome. Or the hummus wrap..yum
Wait the grits is to die 4.
The salmon salad is amazing. Even better is the turkey hash!!!!
Push the left door to get in and pull it again to get out... Trust me!
Flying stag? Pop into the bakery when the dining room is crowded and settle up to the bar. You'll be taking down a Flying Biscuit Breakfast b4 you can say "Joy, party of 6!"
If I had to design my dream omelette, it would include goat cheese, mushrooms, and a tomato topping. Thankfully, it exists at the biscuit; it's the Clifton. True Love.
Best grits ever!
The bar is small but worth it...excellent service from top to bottom
I went here for dinner this evening...Food was excellent, but...a wino came in and asked my table for money, and the restaurant workers did not ask him to leave. Will complain to management tomorrow.
The piedmont omelette was awesome!
This place is so lovely. Get the turkey hash or the High Flyer and eat the apple butter. Yum!
Use your options to mix and match and try the hole menu lop...
So I designed a vegetarian "southern scramble" with tofu, collards and soysage. Tasty.
Love the southern scramble.
Excellent food. Meggsican wrap sauce is a bit too hot and not enough tomato. Great cocktails for brunch - all in a pint glass for $4.95. Grits are to die for.
The grits alone is worth the wait.
For all the vegetarians/vegans out there: don't order the BBQ Tofu burrito. Personally, I thought it was really gross. Also apparently the veggie burger patty is not vegan (contains cheese).
Same as the others: get the creamy grits. Also, the biscuits are not to be underrated, especially with the apple/cranberry(?) butter, and the fried mac and cheese and anything with the tomato aioli.
Despite their appearance, the lava cakes are delicious. And make sure to get a biscuit, mostly to go wild with the accompanying apple butter.
Server Jeffery is amazing!!!!
Easy parking in the neighborhood
The original! Anything goes well with one of their famous biscuits with homemade cranberry apple butter
You have to try their grits...they're AAH-MAZING!!
I come here for the Egg-stravaganza and the cappuccinos!
Try the biscuits with apple butter sauce, pretty tasty.
