Cross your fingers that the Chicken Liver Po Boy is a special!
I've always had great experiences at the Glass Onion. One of my favorite things is their Fried Quail with collard greens and cheese grits. #GoodEats!
Saturday brunch rocks! Fries with bearnaise and watermelon feta salad. (And of course a mimosa to finish it off!)
Our party of four coworkers decided it was the best meal of our life. We live in Michigan. If e are able to choose out last meal it would be at the glass onion. OMG. Best. Meal. Ever.
Get the shells and cheese if it's available. You won't regret it.
Catfish and cornbread is great
Get the braised beef ragout with grits! WOW!!
Shells&cheese. Get it.
The biscuits are like eating cloud bread. Oh, and the sweet potato hash is amazing!
Shells & Cheese + Catfish! Yum!!! Way too much, but can there ever be too much deliciousness?! Must do!
The smoked chicken with sweet potatoes and grits were a flavor explosion in my mouth. I definitely recommend it.
Fries + bearnaise
Another Diners, Drive-ins and Dives restaurant off my list. Awesome food. I ate all of mine plus whatever the wife didn't finish. Salted Caramel pie and banana pudding is awesome!
Great food. Great table cards.
Pork loin po boy was more of a trumped up ham sandwich. Tasty enough but not nearly as good as the fried quail - that's a definite winner.
Everything was fantastic. Shells and cheese. Fried quail with buttermilk and honey. Salmon and butter bean salad. Chocolate and pecan tart served with local ice cream ( wholly cow? ). Wow. Thanks!
The menu features local, seasonal specials but the standards like Deviled Eggs, Gumbo and the decadent Fries with Béarnaise are always great choices. [Eater 18 Member]
Biscuits and gravy are delicious. Go for it.
Best restaurant in Charleston - hands down! Get the quail!
Try the Side Salad - Basic local greens and veggies. Love their incorporation of pickled okra and haricot vert.
Try the Homemade Peppermint Ice Cream - Loved the bits of candy! A bowl of heaven!
Try the Caramel Pie - The crust was the best part, IMHO. The pie itself was the second best.
Try the Creamy Anson Mills Corn Grits - Having lived in the South my entire life, I've never tasted anything like this ever before. Highly recommend!
Try the Pimiento Cheese - Hearty & delicate! Wonderful!
Try the Braised Greens - Amazing flavor! Simple, not bogged down with spices.
Try the Fried Green Tomatoes - The chèvre and pepper relish really added to this dish!
We've never been disappointed . . . except for they are always out of banana pudding which we hear is unbelievable!
Doing the pick 4 on the sides is more than enough of a meal for most people, but don't pass on a deviled egg or two beforehand!
Shells and cheese is AMAZING!
The fried quail and house made pickles are the best!
Wonderful local ingredients.
You have to have reservations for Tuesday's fried chicken. We showed up at 715 and they were sold out'
If you are a pimento cheese person, get it! Mmmm. So cheesy, toasty, and comfy on a cool rainy day.
