Now closed at this address. Rumored to be re-opening elsewhere downtown.
Didn't they close in December?
Big disappointment, bad service and uninspired food.
Had a great dinner and phenomenal cocktails. Would def come back. Heard it's moving to grand central.
Tomato spice fries are the absolute best fries. Lamb meatballs also awesome. Drinks are strong. Super fun place.
Everything is nomworthy, but the grilled "cheese course" and duck confit latke are the winners.
Great eclectic selection of food on the menu. And crazy wide variety of scotch.
This pairs well with the L.A. Art Walk (first Thursday of every month). Make sure to make a reservation if you do that though! Live music some nights. Bacon wrapped matzo balls!
Swing dancing on Thursdays to great jazz!
Ilan Hall Season 2
Get the Nueske's bacon-wrapped matzoh balls, a delightfully tasty paradox in food tradition. Happy hours yield half-off all bar items, which will prove useful at The Gorbals' full bar.
Great corn and broccoli. Burger was solid too
Ilan Hall is one of two LA-based Top Chef champions, and his restaurant The Gorbals is just one place reality TV fans can see throughout Los Angeles.
Best brunch EVER; bizarre bathroom situation.
Try the Bacon Wrapped Matzoh Balls - Sacrilegious. Unreal.
Quirky and yummy
Lamb and creamy oats, best item on the menu.
Becomes a pop-up restaurant "Kitchen DTLA" on Saturdays for Brunch!
Try the Moscow Mule cocktail - Karlsson's Gold Vodka, ginger beer, lime, and sweet vermouth!
Brie grits with berry compost!
Fish and chips are yummy

Squid ink is a must but everything else is over seasoned and most things are overpowered by an ingredient.
The brocoli oh my god the brocoli! Do not miss it!
Bahn Mi Poutine...wow. Everything was great and the wine descriptions were epic.
Bacon wrapped matzoh balls!
A must for the single diner. Two options for seating: bar + chefs station. It's a 'this isn't awkward spot' for the Table for 1 crowd
Serving dinner Monday-Wednesday until 12am, Thursday-Saturday until 2am.
My friends enjoyed the tongue, marrow and bacon cheesecake. As a vegetarian, I loved the latkes and broccoli. TRY THE TOFFEE PUDDING!
Onion burger, broccoli, bone marrow, squid inky fish so yum. :-)
It's obvious the red head working the line HATES her job. Baaahumbug!
Nice place to have wedding dinner for weeding party
1st place I ate when I moved into the building. Love it!
Bacon wrapped matzoh balls, Banh mí poutine, the Broccoli & Corn dishes are MUST as well
NY Times recommendation
Don't snap at the majordomo if the reservation for 12 is seated with a party of 8 at a table made for 18. I did & I was served last of the party of 12, which is either karma or wait staff vengeance.
Menu musts: Bacon-wrapped matzoh balls, Banh mi poutine, Burger with onion six ways, Broccoli with soy, chiles, and vinegar, Sticky toffee pudding http://bit.ly/pjz3nz
Holy ****! This place was great!
three words: broccoli. broccoli. broccoli.
Sticky toffee pudding is a great way to end your meal! Loved that they add just the right amount of salt to counteract the sweet. The super creamy banana-cinammon ice cream hides a surprise.
Grass fed cow Tongue is amazing!
one of my favorite places to go to in DTLA. the crispy broccoli is amazing.
The GLT is a must.
Banh mi poutine OGC
