Come early to avoid the food lines. Get a Googa Moula card first thing (the lines are ridiculous and the machines break) so at the very least you can buy beer/wine to get you through the day.

Lots of organizational issues but glad we got there early to avoid the lines! Fave Nom was the Dirty Duck Dog from Craft. Check out NYCNomNom.com full a full review of what to eat!

If you happen to be on any prescription drugs that you need to carry with you, leave them at home lest you risk the security guys making fun of you/threatening to take them recreationally. FUN!

Googa Moula: aka drink ticket line #FAIL. Skip the line & check if your beer/wine vendor takes cash...or bribe someone in the front of the line for tickets. A very huge oversight.

Just get there at/before opening time (11?) or at 5 to avoid lines. Former is smarter if you want the 'famous' stuff. Hit up your favored booths before the midafternoon craziness.

If you don't get there early, don't bother. Unless you really enjoy waiting on lines. Lines that last hours. Lines that make you hate anyone that has food/beer when you don't.

Bring sunscreen. And a crappy yet comfortable pair of shoes. You'll be waiting in line for anything, so might as well get a nice tan out of it.

No drink allowed inside the festival. But ehhhh, not really. Just get creative. Unless you like waiting over an hour in line for beer, wine or soda.

Arrive early (popular foods and beers still out), bring a picnic blanket, sunscreen, good company and lots of cash!

Make sure you download that super helpful Googa Mooga app! But don't worry about it much because you won't have any network service in the festival. Enjoy!

The most inventive food option in the Extra Mooga section was the sausage and oyster snack at Colicchio's stand.
