People tend to check in during these times:
Try to drive the streets that run parallel to sunset blvd to get here in time - it can get crazy. Not crazy abt the food choices at the concession stand - closest thing to healthy is veggie burger.
The Greek Theater opened in 1930 and promptly burnt down. In 1931 after reopening it became home to numerous productions in the 30s including many by the Works Progress Administration Federal Theater.
Great venue! Can get cold in the winter months so be sure to bring a blanket! Also, parking on event days is cash only so be prepared!
CA (See) A more intimate version of The Hollywood Bowl, The Greek offers great acoustics in an amazing outdoor setting. Bring a date, it's also a perfect spot for makin' out!
Most beautiful venue (location in general!) that I've experienced since moving to LA one year ago. Great atmosphere and performance at the Eek! Halloween extravaganza :)
The intimate setting at Greek Theatre was always a favorite of Barbie's. We'd dress to impress, have a nice dinner and enjoy an outdoor show under the stars. Very romantic.
My favorite venue in LA! And it just got better with $7 offsite shuttle parking. Buy parking online first before heading out to your show and thank me later!
Fabulous show! GreAt place! Amazing trees and sound and bar. I didn't get the memo that you can wear high heels and tiny dresses as you climb the stairs in November #coloradogirl
Park in the neighborhood just south of Los Feliz Blvd. The walk up to the park is nice and you save yourself an insane amount of time and stress.
Ticket buying tip: opt for seats in the center (3-digit seat numbers). It's the best view in any section. I'd settle for a center seats in B over sitting far left or right in A any day.
If you have dinner in Los Feliz, you can walk to the theatre and avoid the parking situation. It's less than a mile and it's a pretty walk.
My favorite outdoor venue; no real bad seat in the house. Pay for parking online beforehand to avoid stacked parking. Dress warm!
Stack parking is a pain and there's a bit of a trek getting up to the gates... Wear comfy shoes and bring a jacket-cold and humid at night
Best concert venue in all of LA! Not a bad seat in the house. Much more intimate than the Hollywood Bowl.
Just had an awful experience with the parking attendant. Poorly marked signs. Pay the extra $5 for non-stack parking. It's absolutely worth it.
On June 16, Dispatch is back. The current tour represents the fifth (!) iteration of the group since its 1996 beginnings. But they’re playing new music for the first time in over ten years.
Great outdoor venue. Perfect in the summer. Find tickets for shows at The Greek Theatre & negotiate your price on Zigabid.com!
It is better to pay for parking on there website, it is a little more expensive but it is easier and you are not being parked in a lot that only has stack parking
Parking sucks. $15 to stack. You can't leave until all the people around you do. Try to carpool or arrive early and park on the street.
Stacked parking is the woooooooorst here. Carpool, but choose the person in your group with the SUV. You will probably find yourself parked in the woods.
Bring a picnic dinner and park in the lower lot; you can avoid all the crappy waiting for parking, and enjoy a stress-free dinner!
Ladies, don't wait in line for the bathroom. There are two levels. Go to the stairway in the middle of the bathroom to get to the second level.
Terrific outdoor venue. Parking is not that bad. Go about 90 min early & try street parking on Hillhurst. Nice 5 min walk.
Love the acoustics of this place, it could be a little chilly a night so make sure to bring a jacket 😊
I call it a "mini-Hollywood bowl" -- I sometimes prefer the Greek because it is less intimidating. I love this venue to catch some of my favorite artists/bands.
Do dine and ride from the restaurants that let you park for the whole show and shuttle you to the front entrance
It was a fantastic venue! Bring cash though because various card machines went down.
Oh yes - certainly awesome that it is one of the favorite outdoor places in LA to rock to live music. Proud that it is part of our LA culture scene:)
Get the wine by the bottle for only 22.50. Yeah...it's crappy wine but you get the most bang for your buck.
Parking situation is less-than-desirable, got stuck in a dirt lot in a BMW that I consider my child. But the venue is cool. Can't wait for the show to start!
I love the Greek!! Def my fav venue in LA where u feel like ur in the middle of the forest, listening to amazing artists under the stars!
Terrible stacked parking - you are blocked in and have to wait for the car in front of or in back of you to leave.
The best outdoor venue in LA! Definitely get tickets to a Summertime show - well worth it!
On Sunday, Oct. 27, bring the whole family to The Greek Theatre for the third annual EEK! at The Greek, a symphonic Halloween extravaganza.
Best outdoor venue in LA!! Not a bad seat in the house. And the bathrooms are readily available!
The sound quality between section A and B is ridiculous. Pay the extra to sit in section A.
Stop by the Ovation Towers in the plaza or south concourse for a free download! Just need an email addy. :)
Great venue! Probably my second favorite outdoor venue behind the Hollywood Bowl.
Parking sucks. Get there early for non-stacked. Otherwise plan on sitting in the car for a bit after the show is over.
Great concert venue in a romantic setting. Griffith Park is the backdrop.
Remember it's your right to get up and dance. Tell the fat old people behind you "they are not very rock and roll". That should shut them up.
MaKe sure you get a box seat with friends for full service with waitresses!
Purchase parking through Greek "Quick Park" is worth every dollar!
You can park in Los Feliz Village and walk to the Greek. It's less than a mile.
Be careful! Parking says $15 but they charged us $20! So sneaky!
