Good collection of national artists on lower floors, though I preferred the modern works on the upper floors. Impressive building architecture too —modern yet not overwhelming.

Don't skip the Joseph Brown Collection on Level 2. Filled with beautiful Australian Art - great to see John Brack, Sidney Nolan, Fred Williams, Rupert Bunny, Margaret Preston, E.Phillips Fox etc..
Take the free guided tours. You'll see more and the knowledgeable enthusiasm makes one really happy!!
