Phenomenal beer selection & tasty burgers. Our waitress was a cicerone & made spot on recommendations. Don't miss the sauerkraut balls; Deee-licious!! Sit outside in front on the cobblestone street.

Grab the sauerkraut balls to start and a burger/steak and eggs. The beer selection is unbelievable. Rare stuff includes TransAtlantique Kriek, incredible local stuff, and great Trappist ales.

Enjoyed the food and the craft beers.... until it became dark and the cockroaches started to come out and join us in the back patio. I won't go back after that.

Tuesday and Thursday's are half price on local draft beers. Sit inside for old pub feel or grab a spot on the patio.

I travel the country for a living and have been on the road for 9 months trying to find the best burger in the country. The Gus Burger add cheddar and bacon is the single best burger I have ever eaten

This is a Birmingham institution. I suggest going to J. Clyde and then Blue Monkey afterwards for a late night cocktail. Avondale Miss Fancy for beer. Try a pizza for dinner. Delicious.

This place has vegetarian options that are difficult to find in the south - they even had a vegetarian sausage sandwich option which was pretty good. Great atmosphere, friendly staff.

One of the oldest bars in Birmingham. Walk down the quaint cobblestone road hidden by the overhanging oak branches, and look for the low brick building with an inviting patio out front.

Atmosphere is great, food and beer selection are second to none. However... The service is hit and miss. Sometimes I feel like I need a smoke signal just to get noticed..

Each week 1-3 new cask beers arrive. They are rare and delicious. Ask what's new on the cask, then ask for "a half" of one which strike you. You'll receive a smaller serving at a cheaper price.
