If you like Guinness then try the O'Hara's on draft! Same type of Irish Stout but with 100x more flavor than Guinness - and Guinness is/was my favorite beer.
MAC AND CHEESE
go here have AMAZING Belgian beer
If you like Guinness then try an O'Hara's at the Publick House. Look at the picture. How amazing do those triplets look?!
The Publick House is home to The Monk’s Cell. In the door and up the ramp to you left is our exclusively Belgian Beer department, where all of the drafts are reserved for beers from Belgium.
Like a promised land for craft beer fanatics, The Publick House has a droolworthy draft and bottle selection of Belgian and American beers. http://is.gd/5i5mdx
Go to the Publick House for the best Belgian beer bar in Boston, by far. Enjoy a beer with the frites, a cheese plate, or the mac & cheese.
The mac & cheese is an absolute winner!
A fine selection of Belgian beers on draft. Great food and they serve all the beers in the proper glass. Check out ThePublick House Provisions to stock up on take out beer and glassware.
go to publick house in washington square and eat their AWESOME mac and cheese. yum. : )
2 words: Truffle. Ketchup.
If you like fancy beer (or cider) this is the place for you. Also plenty of great eats. Have to get the moules frites, also the cheese and charcuterie platters are well done.
My grandfather used to own this place in the late 40s and early 50s. Unfortunately I can't translate that into free beer here.
What BostonTweet said.
A truly inspired craft beer list with delicious food and comfortable decor. An instant favorite.
McChouffe is almost always on tap and is always delightful. Frites with chipotle mayo are a must.
The best restaurant made mac-n-cheese you will ever have, never a dull beer moment. Go early weeknights. The weekend crowd causes an unfortunate wait and not much room to order while-you-wait drinks.
Ditto the mac and cheese. They must put crack in it.
cool vibe good beers
Get the bucket of mussels #1 (basic) and #4 (corn and bacon) are awesome, #3 (garlic bread crumbs + cheese + spinach) is a little too flyover state.
Best burger and best fries EVER!!! And the beer list rocks!
One thing they are known for is Belgian and Belgian style.
Food is Amazing, beer list is endless. One of the best bars in the city. Bill can add up quick, so if you're just interested in drinks try their sister bar American Craft down the street.
Always has a good beer selection
Love the cheese, beer & the frites. You can't go wrong here, but don't expect to sit down on the weekends!
This place is pretty great because there isn't a bad food or beer to order on their menu. Go outside your comfort zone and be pleasantly surprised.
Amazing beer selection and OMFG Mac and cheese!
Just come here, the beer selection is amazing!
Try the mac and cheese. Best you'll ever have.
The O'Hara stout is awesome.
Mac & Cheese, baby!
Incredible rare beers, incredible burgers and mac & cheese
Hungry? They have some amazing (and customizable) Mac and Cheese! It's delicious! Try it with peas and bacon.
Friendly reminder :)
The Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout is a big one.... Mmm delicious!
Order a Trillium!
Amazing beer selection. Delish food
Tried the lambic beer - check! Boon Kriek is delicious not to mention classy looking.
If you love coffee or the taste of coffee, you must order the Berkshire Coffeehouse Porter. You'll love it!
Try the pubini! Yum!
Great staff, great music, great craft beers, get the mussels, fish n chips, and mac n cheese
Have gluten free woo hoo
HUGE beer menu! I think you could come here every day for six months and not try every beer. Try the Belgians.
Mac and Cheese is their quintessential classic. Extra good with scallops. Highly recommend the Delirium Nocturnum if you want a good Belgian
This is my favorite place in Brookline. Come early as it gets crowded
Get JKs Solstice it's phenomenal
The beer haven for Washington Square and Boston alike. Mac & Cheese is famous. Truffle fries always hit the spot. If you like Coors, stay home.
The best thing about The Publick House is its extensive selection of rare (at least in the U.S.) Belgian beers, but the Monk Fries in a paper cone are a close second. Eat some with truffle ketchup.
