Ring the bell, get seated in plush couches. Pull chain on wall to order, classy ladies come get your order then bring the drinks from an unseen back bar. Great music/atmosphere. Fantastic date spot.

Go with an even Guy-to-Girl ratio for a better chance to get in. Once inside, marvel at the delicious cocktails and great ice cubes.

Has a speakeasy aesthetic from its windowless, living room-style interior down to a functioning doorbell guests have to ring. A charming courtyard with outdoor seating adds a little breathing room. Read more

The bartender is completely amazing - if you don't know what you want, he'll whip something delicious up to please your palate preferences. Atmosphere is great. Best place in nyc I've been to yet.

Annoying to get in but a cool spot if you go earlier and keep your group small

The best cocktail speakeasy now doing Tiki drinks. The blackstrap rum mixed with pineapple, Campari, bitters, and other treats served over a big ice rock tasted like refreshing molasses goodness.

Great setting, friendly staff, nicely curated drink list. Thankfully, Raines is about more than the hidden entrance.

I love how you have to knock the get in and once you're seated pull a small chain in the wall for service.

Reservations are good, but you can also leave your name and number at the door and they'll text you when they're ready for you. Go pregame down the street!

Secluded couch areas are sweet. Can't go wrong with any of the drinks, really. Especially any of the ones with ginger.

Head bartender Adam is a total riot. Hang at the bar to watch him work. Swing by before dinner to put your name in. They keep it intimate. Ring the bell to get service from your private couches.

Best day to come is midweek after early dinner. The Raines Law Room is a beautiful, sexy and perfect place to unwind, catch up and sip on finely made shaken or stirred cocktails.

Perfect hidden hole in the wall speakeasy! Looks like an apartment from the outside, you really have to know what you're looking for to find it. Great cocktails, excellent service.

Intimate little 1920s-style speakeasy, but feels a little tired compared to the larger and more elaborately decorated Dear Irving

    Tom Joseph · April 30
  • Jason S.

Awesome speakeasy but often to go at off times. All the drinks are good, and they have outdoor space/garden in the back for when it's nice. General decor is really dark.

Such a classy vibe here! Dim lights, curtains to seperate the tables. But lines are long so reservation or getting here early is recommended
