Used to love coming down to the Roosevelt. Apparently the owners are focusing on Matt's Big Breakfast around the corner. Still waiting to see what this will be. Such a loss for the neighborhood.

It is so dark in here, bring a flashlight to see the menu. Or try to use the tea light candle but be careful not to burn your hair!

Get the grilled cheese with tomato soup and share the humongous pretzel with a friend. Accompany the grub with a great beer or wine.

Get then cheese plate. Plenty of cheese varieties paired with soft fig bread and organic honey. Also, many decent seasonal craft beers on tap and in bottles and cans.

I can never remember the name of the beer, but just ask the waitress for a banana-flavored hefeweizen and she'll know exactly what you're talking about ;) It's quite delish!
