Nice to have a solid BBQ spot in the east side. Excellent ribs. Brisket good but not the best. Their sauce is sweet but good. The side options are fairly limited but who needs sides? Meat!!
Far from the best BBQ in Austin but not bad. Can't go wrong with the brisket, ribs, sweet potato fries and pecan pie (or cobblers). Family friendly, if your kids like BBQ of course!
Brisket. They give you a choice of how you want your meat: dry, medium or burnt ends. Go with the burnt ends! Ask for Adam with a beard and glasses he's amazing!!!
Overpriced BBQ. Almost $22 per pound for brisket! Now I know why only out-of-towners and tourist visit this place. Yikes
Brisket can be inconsistent, but good to very good usually. Pork ribs are always good...beef ribs are unfortunately not. Spicy sauce is great..buy a bottle to take home.
Ribs were excellent, turkey was good, brisket was okay. We liked the potato salad, too. Bbq sauce is mustard based but really good!
Tremendous sausage! The peach tones of the beans was a delightful surprise. Highly recommended.
Great place to eat
The pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw is really good!!
Ribs, sausage and brisket are the only meats. Flavorless. Bbq sauce over vinegar. Slaw has no flavor. Potatoes cold, no flavor. Beans were warm but good.
Did somebody say brisket? Quit messing around and go for the burnt ends. Spicy sauce!
One of the best bbq places in the area. Take the whole family and have a great time! Live music also!
Thought this was an overrated experience, especially for having to drive out of the city... They still have okay food but the service is what shinned
Let's see what this tastes like.
What's good here? Nada. Very meh. The sauce is good but without the sauce pretty unimpressive, but even with the sauce, mediocre at best. Pretty disappointed.
Get the family style meal and eat until you have to stop. The potato salad is abysmal, but the beans, slaw and meats are quite good.
Pero que buenos vinos y exelente comida 🍸🍸🍴
They popped another cherry of mine. :-)
Mmm mmm good
The BBQ is amazing
The ribs are delicious. Brisket is very tasty as well. I am not a huge fan of their sauce but as an experience it is hard to beat.
Yes ask for Steph!!!!!!
I felt disappointed after all of the hype. Was it good? Sure. Overrated? Beyond. Good barbecue can be eaten without sauce, and the brisket was too dry without it.
Not as good as the original location but getting better as the pit here ages.
Beef ribs are on point!
You'll have to go to the other location for the triple chop sandwich.
Best rib, sausage, and prime rib
Everything was good. The beans were just ok though.
Chicken is very delicious!
They will give you free samples if you can't make up your mind :)
Food is so yummy! AC blasting a bit too much but other than a great time
Average at best. Go to Rudys instead
Best BBQ I have ever had.
There is no good vegetarian option here. Their idea of a vegetarian meal is beans, potato salad and coleslaw
Free wifi FTW
Prime ribs so good
Average brisket. Should have gone to Rudys.
All you can eat is the way to go!!
The brisket and turkey was great, so was the tater salad. But I'm more of a Hard 8 kind of girl. Happy we tried Salt Lick, but won't miss it when we go back to Dallas
This BBQ spot has been featured on the Food Network so it has to be good!
Pulled pork is the surprise menu item.
Most of the meats are truly great, as they should be. BUT the sides that they force on you are below average. Please just allow substitutions on sides. Why even have anything else if you can't sub?
I didn't like the sides. Got a chopped beef sandwitch, which was just some chopped beef thrown on two pieces of bread, no bun, with poor sides, way too expensive!
Did not care for the sides and kids running in and out. Flies became annoying. Meat was good but pricey.
You can't go wrong. Try it all!
