Ok, second review after a full day in San Antonio... The place is way too crowded with families of tourists... Kills the charm completely. Stay away from absolutely all the restaurants and bars

Don't fall in! No guardrails along the river, so as you are taking in the spectacle that is this great spot . . . keep mindful of your step (I stayed dry, by the way!).

  • Lilith E.

There is so much to do on the Riverwalk , shopping, restaurants, museums, ghost tours, and more, just be sure to make reservations for some of these things in advance! There can be a long wait.

Crowded and noisy. Be careful because there are no guard rails so it's easy to fall in. I once saw a guy go swimming naked in the Riverwalk. He was arrested, so if you feel hot, just get a cold drink.

    Eat at Boudro's.

Many cities have tried to duplicate the Riverwalk, but this is still the standard. Can't beat the dining on the river, the mariachi bands, prickly pear margaritas & fajitas. People watching is prime.
