One of my favorite places in the city. I recommend the Big Jimmy Sampler for a first time there (it's enough food for two). Don't miss out on the smothered fries or the mac 'n cheese.

Fries Taste Test: The porky meat on Shaved Duck's smothered fries is excellent — but the flavor of the actual fries got lost in all the other stuff. Also: They coulda and shoulda been a lot hotter. Read more

You must try the pulled rib meat layered over hand-cut fries that just so happen to be smothered in cheese sauce made in-house. http://bit.ly/1eGtVqK

No duck at lunch, but meatloaf sandwich was tasty. Brisket doesn't have much flavor before you add sauce (which is good), but it's nice & juicy, not all dried out like smoe places.
