The Standard, East Village is quietly transitioning into the spirit of its new name. Sister to The Standard, New York in the West Village, this new Standard offers big city views in a cozy, residential setting.
The sophisticated little sister. Go for a higher priced room - the basic are a bit small. Still, very cozy and the whole place has a great vibe.
Good service, great Bourbon!
Standard sounds thumbs up (!)
Coffees $4. Come on
Service was really poor at the bar. I was sitting for over 15 mins before someone came by to ask for my order. I kept trying to flag a waitress down. I finally ordered one beer & got it 20 mins later
Great hotel, amazing service. Rooms and design were solid with interesting amenities.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Amazing south garden is a beautiful oasis for drinks and eats, the cafe out front is great and narcissa is one of my favorite restaurants.
Ask for rooms with a view, but make sure you're not facing the construction to the north.
WC pull friendly, great lighting by restroom area, photo booth with great lighting is also located by restrooms
Rooms bigger than a shoebox!
One of the best places in the East Village to sit outside and enjoy brunch, or just a few Bloody Mary's/coffees. Opt for the partially hidden back garden for a romantic vibe (albeit slower service).
The food is fabulous and the drinks divine
Great room with an amazing view! The bar is fun, and the new Narcissa restaurant serves really good food. Service is super nice, Makke at the door is outstanding and gives a really warm welcome!
The shower has views of the city and double as a steam room.
If you see Jared at the bar, penetration station. #justthetip
Incredible FREE pinball by the bathrooms downstairs. I'm obsessed.
Breakfast in the penthouse is fantastic! Too bad it won't last once they complete remodeling.
Feel free to put your order on my tab ROOM 402
High floor means fantastic views and peace and quiet from the NY traffic!
Try something different at the bar on the 2nd floor: the cauliflower Reuben sandwich. Tasty!
The penthouse -wow!
Four of the last five times I stayed here minibar charges have appeared even though I didn't touch it. Especially since it's always Gummi bears, which I can't eat. Double check your bill!
Beds are so comfy! Def spring for a city view room.
Staff much nicer than The Hudson where I will never stay again. Guys here are efficient, polite and helpful.

Tres bon hotel. Bien situe. Proche de Briadway
Bed v soft but room is teeny
Penthouse may not exist, but get a room on 20 or 21 facing East and the view really is expansive. May not be all that gorgeous, but you can spy the whole east village!
100% the best bed I have ever seen.
Penthouse has the best view of the city in the east village
Great bar. Great bartenders. Especially Kelly!
The "penthouse" does not exist.
The Penthouse is SICK!!!
The mayor here is so spicy
