The Steeping Room is Austin’s premiere full-service, contemporary tea lounge, restaurant and retail tea store. It is a place of sanctuary, social connection and the ever-growing and amazing world of specialty tea, food and tea ware.
The salted toffee chocolate cookie is amazing.
Try the iced jasmine tea! Perfect for these hot summer days! It won't keep you up, either!
Try the Mojteato mocktail...amazing good and it won't get you drunk.
Just love going there for a business meeting.
Great food and tea. One of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, extremely slow service at lunch. Also, eat outside. The acoustics inside are deafening.
The napa rolls are outstanding and you can't go wrong with tofu or chicken. The peanut sauce is superb
Salty toffee cookie + Mexican Coke = bliss
For the days when there are no cucumbers at the market, not even for ready money.
The iced Beautiful Coconut Green Tea.. Is absolutely delicious and refreshing.. Can't get enough!! .. Refills are free.. Sweet!
Buddha bowl! With every possible combination. So good.
the coconut cupcakes are delicious very creamy and rich
The iced chai is wonderful, pair it up with a scone and enjoy a sit outside in the quad
The salty toffee cookie is seriously the best cookie in Austin!
The cheese plate is excellent, as is the selection of teas. Almost too many to decide! Our waiter was knowledgeable and personable. Great place to relax.
The Big Red Robe Oolong is pricey, but worth it. They also have a great selection of Anxi ball style oolongs like Tieguanyin. Great stuff.
croque monsieur is excellent
Order a cafe au lait and ginger scone and just people watch and enjoy the goodness.
The Buddha Bowl is awesome! So worth the try!
Try the organic Rooibos Chai with the candied ginger scones - a match made in heaven!
The coffee is strong! One glass and im wired ALL day. I however don't like that feeling as such others do.
Be ready to wait for breakfast inside. Outside is always open. Cheers
The Buddha bowl, TLT, Tao salad, and coconut tea are musts!! Happy hour prices are amazing too :)
Mexican Hot Chocolate is a must-have-in-your-life!
The best gluten-free lunch spot in north Austin: Fresh, delicious, and almost everything is available in a gluten-free version
Food is wonderful! Service is AWFUL!
The coffee here is way better than the Starbucks next door for about the same price. Fresh when you order, taste is as smooth as a baby's bottom.
Sakura sencha gong fu style is a COMPLETE treat. Sit down for an hour or two with a good book and enjoy~~~
Try the blossoming jasmine peach white tea. Divine!
Love the Chocolate Chipotle Chai tea.
Worst, most expensive iced chai ever. Seriously tasted like nothing.
tofu napa rolls are a must!
Emily and fam are greatness&local. Tea: vithanakande, kenilworthOP, Assam-all single estate. Ginger scone=legendary. Cent oaks tea w/BLT, roast beef or pork tenderloin tea sands. Honey butter.
Apple cinnamon Rooibus is win
Love this place! I can't stop thinking about their goat cheese, tapenade, and arugula sandwich and their Genmaicha. Great place!
You can't go wrong with the Buddha bowl at The Steeping Room paired with the Rooibos Chai.
The Lemon Lavender cake is to die, resurrect, and re-die for...
Relax and sip some Beautiful Coconut Green Tea. I prefer it hot with some honey. Start off the the Napa Rolls and then get the Pork Tenderloin Tea Sandwiches :)
ceremonial grade matcha
I'm a tea addict - so far I like every tea I've tried! The food and desserts are on point as well. Lots of super healthy options.
Teas and menu are amazing! Unfortunately the service is hit and miss...
Mojteatos. So good. Highly recommend. :-)
The Buddha bowl a pot of amazing tea to share and a cozy atmosphere adds up to make one of my all time favorite places to eat.
Loved the milky Assam tea. Just what I needed!
ALWAYS!! Ask for extra peanut sauce when ordering the Napa rolls. Add a beautiful coconut iced tea and finish off with a ginger scone.
Try the Java bowl, the egg is EVERYTHING!!
The Buddha Bowl is the best... And their Masala Chai is the best chai I've found in Austin
Get there early before they run out of salty toffee cookies. Also good happy hour beer prices (at a tea shop?) though selection is so so.
Try the tofu napa rolls, wash it down with a beautiful coconut iced and tea and indulge in a ginger scone.
Love it here, be sure to call ahead though
