People tend to check in during these times:
Double or Triple features for $5. Can't beat the movie price. I just wish they had better beer prices. 6 or 7 bucks is too much for an old movie house that rarely gets crowded.
Rock + Brew - great for you Cheap dates out there. Two movies and drinks for under $10 (I think). Also great indie shows.
Save some time and bring cash for the bars.
I've been to some amazing concerts here. It's nice that there's a ton of seating on the balcony, though it means the fairly small floor can be horribly over-packed. Practically next to the L.
Best mid-sized venue in the city.
Hang by the lighting booth. Perfect sight lines, room to move, near the bar and near the sound guy for best results.

Concerts and open bar
They require an illegal $25 minimum on credit cards, so bring cash.
Here for Allen Stone.
Shitty place to see metal. Sounds like mud, even with bass filtering earplugs
Be prepared to sweat your balls off even if it's cold out
Tip for bands: please skip this venue.
Awesome theater. Managed by assholes.
The upstairs seating may seem out of the way, buy every seat has an unobstructed view
Pre Phantogram crowd!
Buy tickets at the physical box office here (hours online) and avoid ticket fees
Old, pretty and a little weird... Meaning this place is awesome. $5 to see all three movies in a night, ok beer on tap, and you can bring in outside food.
Popcorn is stale and awful. Don't waste your cash on it.
This place is a dangerous, disgusting dump.
Great theatre to see your favorite "under-the-radar" bands in a very intimate setting
If you are a short person like me, head upstairs for a seat and a better view. If there isn't a show, check out Brew and View. Cheap beer, cheaper movies, and one of the cheapest date ideas around.
Total hotties live here. One makes kraut. Yum!
Tiny bathrooms. Ladies, be prepared to wait.
Ok, so Brew & View / Vic Theatre is not yet a Central Lakeview Merchants member.....but 3 movies for $5 and 2 fully-stocked bars = Big Fun!!
Guaranteed good time!
One of the best venues in town- you either get great shows or the brew and view! Yay!
Drink and view everything!
This place is friendly to everyone except emo slackers who don't have their shit together and, well, FUCK them!! Ya know??
2011 Summer Camp artist Bela Fleck & The Flecktones will be playing here on July 21st! Check them out!
Box office ladies rule. So do the bartenders and cocktail waitresses. Working hard for the money!!
No matter how crowded it gets, there's always a pocket of space near the ramps that lead down onto the front-of-stage floor. Try it, you'll like it!
Bela Fleck & The Flecktones are playing here on July 21st, 2011! Don't miss it!
Don't bother driving to concerts here because a CTA line is literally a block away! You in for an awesome concert, so get your ears ready!
This is also where you can obtain a ticket for an event at the Aragon without paying a 'convenience' surcharge. →Cash only!←
seen a million concerts here. loved the saw doctors last week!
Again, this place is a joke. Tried to call them all day to ask a question and they didn't answer the phone til 5:30. The guy was horribly rude on the phone.
Went to see Ralphie May on Friday night at the Vic, great show!
This venue is NOT street teamer friendly. We had to hang up posters for a band and they kept changing their minds about it. Fuck this place.
Love going to concerts here. You can walk up to the front, place your beer on the stage and dance the night away.
Wait by the alley for an hour or two & you will be able to meet, take pictures w/ & get autographs from the performers you just saw.
Be a bad ass and drink while you are at the movies! Monday-Thursday get $3 MGD, Miller Lite or High Life Drafts while catching some flicks. Brought to you by THE EXPENDABLES opening August 13!
Saw "Five for Fighting" last night at the The Vic. Great venue. Watch out, they give you bottle water with no cap! (silly)
WCR sucks!! **Chicago Outfit Love** gaaah can't believe a turd like ValCapone is the mayor
Pay $5 to see awesome movies and drink $3 beers! You can't go wrong.
Whether its seeing a concert, or enjoyin the Brew & View, The Vic is my favorite theater in Chi-town.
Some of the bars accept credit cards, but they place a $100 hold on your account, so watch out if you're lowish on funds.
