Always have fun here; service is great and crowd is diverse. More down to earth than your stereotypical Westside bar.
I finally got to visit The Wellesbourne last night. It exceeded my expectations and is now my new L.A. fave! Try the Cucumber Mint Martini and the Blackberry Gimlet with a flaming orange garnish. Wow!
Great library themed bar to stop off for a drink if you're waiting for a table nearby.
On Saturday night the tunes were amazing - 90s hip hop and RnB
Loud, dark, and narrow. Avoid at all costs.
Foooooosball. Awesome dig. Feel like I'm in a cozy pocket of Bruce Wayne's mansion
Cool bar to hang. Different areas to have a drink with friends. #@ the bar #Fireplace #Pico
Their Foosball table needs some love.
Slow service but only because they're perfectionists. They'll reserve tables for your bday celebration for free! Try the Grasshopper.
Best old fashioned in Los Angeles.
...crowd is very interesting... ...not really in a good way either...
Get the table area by the fireplace on a Monday night
Wonderfully decorated interior, try the Pimms Cup
Parking's easy (mall/street/cheap valet). Drinks are fairly priced, but if you're adventurous, let the waiter create a drink for you. It's worth the wait!
Phenomenal! Everything from the drinks to the atmosphere to the bar tenders are great here!
Col Mustard, with the candlestick, in the library.
Takes about an hour to get a drink, even on a slow night.
This place is awesome, let the mixologists work their magic and get creative, I recommend the manhattan. Avoid the $11 delirium, it's good but it's no Unibroue
Fantastic atmosphere. Crowd gets very young after 11.
One of my favorite bars on the west side. All the bar tenders are knowledgeable and the drinks are made to perfection.
Nicer bar with a cool atmosphere!
Great place but a little too loud
Great live music on Thursdays. Funk rock band.
This place was fun great atmosphere for the younger crowd. Drinks were well poured and the music was House. Great Experience I would recommend this place for 30 and under.
Ask John for the Tuxedo number 2!!! Awesome drink
Meh. Too loud, too dark, and the bar tenders aren't great. Bring earplugs.
This is the Westside less expensive equivalent of the Edison (minus the speakeasy part). Really great vibe and anywhere that has Strongbow on tap gets an A+ from me!
Come early to snag prime seating by the fireplace. Great group hang out in an antique style library setting. No table service: All food/drinks must be ordered at the bar.
Live music is great - current samples and a great DJ in the off time. Awesome RnB tunes! Way too loud for a date, though. Drinks are so so and they so offer $4 valet parking.
DJ Moses on Fri nights play pretty sweet 90s beats
Terrible, waiting for now 1 hr to have one of the 3 bartenders make 2 drinks for me/ clearly understaffed.
The first 2 parking spots outside turn into passenger loading zones after 7pm. Takes a bit to see it on the meter's scrolling message, but it is legit if they tell you you can't park in the first 2.
Fun fact: this used to be the location of Anna's Italian Restaurant. Anyway, get the "Old Fashioned." It's pretty good!
Bar recommended by Charlie. Kind of hipstery/mediocre service/Crowded. Well reviewed on yelp
Service is SLOW, so you might want to be finishing yours while you wait at the bar for a refill, but they make a first-rate vodka gimlet. Park at Westside Pavilions garage across the street for free.
Play a game of pool here.
You can get a weak open Wi-Fi signal if you sit by the front windows.
Thursday nights offers up some pretty talented live music.
Have the High West. Manhattan
Best vodka gimlets, cool atmosphere, but I'd come on a weekday. This place gets too damn crowded!
Out late on a school nite
Last call is at 1:40 am.
Ask Steve to make you a Steve Cider. It's like a mojito with gin.
