The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas is an uncommonly luxurious Hawaii vacation destination… offering unique residences that embrace both Westin's standard of quality and Maui's most spectacular oceanfront vistas.
Rooms are great! Pools could be more varied and the slide is fun. Everything is pricey though.
Excellent resort for a family vacation. Outstanding staff and the grounds are well-maintained and scenic.
We had a very bad experience with a racist shuttle driver. The hotel apologized and the driver kept working like nothing happened.
Try the ahi salad at the grill & bar by the poolside
Skip molokini crater and spend your money on weekly rental of snorkel gear. The reef off the north villas has an awesome reef with more fish and turtles.
Go to Foodland Farms Grocery Store in Lahaina for a cheap, delicious dinner + try the Poke!
On your way in, stop at Safeway in Lahina (5 min. away) and stock up on breakfast and snack items, which are a rip-off at the resort. Villa guests have free BBQ's available, too!
Food at the resort is overpriced. Walk next door to Castaways or across the highway to the food trucks for cheap, delicious grinds (food.)
Sunrise Lemonade drink of the day is weak. Pretty sure I just got a sugar high instead of a buzz.
The adult pool is nice for adults to swim and not have kids around them......
Great place and love the hospitality from Veronica Torres. Mahalo
Rent beach chairs at snorkel bobs or boss frogs. $15 for the week or pay $10 a day at the resort!
deluxe condos with Westin style and service!
Banana, coconut, vodka, kaluha. #delicious
The pirate ship is popular with the kiddies
Planning to use a pullout sofa bed? You're better off on the floor. The pullout mattress is horrendous for a Westin.
Need help? Concierge is by every elevator lobby, the pools, and the main lobby on both sides.
Amazing resort! Washer, dryer, fridge, stove, dishwasher, sink, balcony, shower, tubby! Easy access to beach, l
Even though the north proper is newer, the south is much nicer. Larger rooms, more open lobby, better pool layout, more pool servers, and a slide! Always head to the south, if you can.
Good snorkeling at the hotel beach.
Costco by the airport is key!
Good snorkeling just off the hotel beach. Saw a sea turtle swim by.
These are villas and not hotel rooms. Don't expect tge same style or treatment. If you look at it as a rented apartment, its a very nice experience.
The Honoa Kai has a nice market with more variety as another option in walking distance
Snorkeling is great at the hotel beach to the left!
Visit the concierge for a very nice welcome gift.
we liked going slightly north to go to Dukes at Honua Kai for dinner--delicious and close by.
Six bucks for a smoothie... But worth it! Strawberry is the best! Get it at the poolside restaurant.
if you (or someone in your party) have a Hawaiian ID you get 50% off to Kama'aina after 8pm on Thursday nights!
Be sure to pick up the drink of the day while lounging by the pool! Nothing beats a Kaanapali Cooler and some sun!
Worst overall Westin experience I ever had staying here from the restaurant to housekeeping. I recommend you stay up the road at the Ritz Carlton.
If you are looking for waves paddle a little north from the hotel there are a couple small reef breaks.
The hotel store has lots of basic groceries if you run out.
AM happy hour ends at 10:30. PM happy hour from 4-6pm. Also ask about the drink of the day.
Villas are pretty sweet. Hot tub, full size fridge, stove, dishwasher, and balcony.
Fish Tacos at the Ocean's Bar and Grill - best of the best. Tasty Blue Hawaii and Lava Flow drinks!
4-6 happy hour, dukes for beachside brews
