The front entry is so glamorous. Marble with such a detailed ceiling... I read the history of this hotel and it is pretty great. Check out its Wilkipedia page.

Charming hotel with exceptional customer service. From the front desk, concierge, maid service to the door men...all ready and willing to serve and please their guests. Loved my week long stay.

Beautiful hotel and comfortable accommodation. Immediate proximity to Union Square and the buzz of the city. Beware - internet connection is appalling and not suited to the business traveller.

This hotel has mixed reviews online but I've had a great experience so far. Stay in a high floor in the tower wing facing Union Square; rooms are newer and have great views.

You really should visit Michael Minas before it shutters. The food - the tuna tartare is great & the famous lobster pot pie rules - is what brought foodies here, but the service is king. Read more

I never stayed here but I've gone to a lot of events here like fashion shows at the very top penthouse or just hung out at the Clock Bar. This hotel however has a lot of history.

The many historical displays In the lobby as well as menus books and other items from the turn-of-the-century are truly a great way to spend About half an hour.

Centrally located on union square but the rooms are lacking a bit. Service was good, gym is nice and very clean though. Overnight parking is a bit absurd at $58/night for guests.

The hotel was originally built in 1907, they have all the classic details displayed for you, it's like a hotel/museum. Location is GREAT right in front of union square.

Has a Hertz counter in the lobby, which is choice. Other than that, your standard tired Westin. Get a room on a high floor and you'll have a nice view of Union Square and the water.

Walk past the reception, make a left and ride the glass elevator for the best views overlooking the bay. Then hit the Clock Bar for an inventive cocktail – try the Hawaii 5.1.

Even if you're not staying at the hotel, ride the glass elevators up to the top for great views overlooking Union Square. Come back and do it again at night.

Bad, bad, bad hotel. The only good thing is the ubication. You hear all night noises from the rooms beside yours! I can't sleep in all my stay.

If you stay only for two night take the green choice and don't get room service. You get to choose between free wifi, bonus points or a free movie I think. Plus you get a $5 voucher for food/drinks

It's loud. The 3am trash collection sounds like godzilla outside the tower. Also bring plenty of long cord chargers because the outlets in this wing couldn't be laid-out any worse

The dungeness crab omelet is yummy. But, the bar here is terrible. I have never seen such disparate decor. And the drinks are acceptable at best.
