    Watch out for the crazy guy who keeps lighting junk fires on the West side (mostly) pedestrian walkway. The East side walkway is notorious for...other things.

    To avoid stairs on the bridge's sidewalk; from Manhattan follow the sidewalk behind the building on 128th & 2nd. It goes behind the park,under then over the bridge, & ends up at 3rd & 135th in the Bro
