Very good coffee but they seriously need a dehumidifier in there. It looks like a Turkish bath from the outside on a cold day. God forbid you have to take a window seat...bring a towel.

Stumptown Costa Rica drip brew was a winner in a 1st visit to Third Rail's new shop. The East Village setting is airier and more pleasant than the Greenwich Village original.

Great espresso, and much bigger than its counterpart on Sullivan. If you stay a while you'll be sure to see lots of people come in with their dogs!

The spacious, beautiful second location of Third Rail looks something like an inflated version of the original - almost the same layout but much larger, with the addition of wifi & plugs. No bathroom. Read more

Seriously the best hot chocolate I've ever had. It's so yummy! Not overly chocolately or overly sweet.

Quiet, even on a Sunday. Good place to read a book, drink some coffee and chill out to a catchy playlist.

Everything here is amazing. Love the atmosphere, the baristas, the coffee is delicious. My boyfriend and I frequent there and get cortados.

Third Rail owner Humberto Ricardo waxes romantic about this new East Village coffee shop's view. But Stumptown Costa Rica & Guatemala coffees starred in early visits — chocolatey, fruity, syrupy.

Tasting Table Top 10 Iced Coffee: "low-acidity coffee at this shop is a 24-hour cold brew that's best enjoyed black; staff isn't judgy--so load it up with half and half if that's your thing"

I was craving a donut so I ordered Americano to accompany it - the PB&J donut itself was amazing, coffee was okay but maybe milk coffee could be a better choice here!
