Here's a tip! The TKTS 7-Day Fast Pass allows you to return to the Times Square ticket booth within 7 days of a TKTS purchase & walk right up to window #1. Avoid the long lines & enjoy NYC!
TKTS is excellent. I kept an eye on all the websites for tickets for weeks, and I saved $120 on a pair of tickets the first show and $80 on my second pair. Can't beat it.
Buy day-of-show tickets for 1/2 price + $4.50 service charge.12 windows really reduce the wait in line, and there's a window just for plays. Sometimes cheaper to go to box office for rear mezz seats.
If you are eyeing specific show, need to get there before it opens and wait. If you don't care what shoe you see going right before the closing will get you something. Certain days are tougher
Absolutely worth waiting in line. Have a couple shows in mind in case the one you want is sold out by the time you reach the booth. Discount tickets on Broadway shows... can't beat it.
Get there 45 mins early before they open at 3pm. Lines look long but they move fast. We were in a zig zag line but were surprised it only took 30mins. Our tix were $73 for Cripple of Inishmaan.
Super long line I suggest waiting an hour and a half early before it opens at 3pm daily. Totally worth it for the price you pay for Broadway shows (30-50% off!)
Generally it can take 20min waiting in the line but if you have a ticket for the last 7 days you can go directly to the cashiers. The deals worth it, but it sucks to wait jn line during the winter.
I don't know what I would do without TKTS.If you want to see a TOP Broadway Show, have friends come in town at the last minute, and haven't reserved your tickets, this is THE place to go!Half-Price too!
Go to the downtown location if you know what you want (check the app) and if it's a broadway show. I think they're open earlier and lines are definitely shorter.
Dont forget to head across the street & check-in @ the official Times Square Gift Shop @ the Times Square Visitor Center: 1560 Bway 46/47 St. Get 2 FREE Taste of Times Square tix w/ purchase of 10 tix
Be smart, bring a friend since lines are long and you can only purchase a maximum of four tickets per person! Take turns holding places in line to check on deals and take bathroom or snack breaks.

Get the TKTS app. It'll give you info on the latest shows. It won't be helpful for TODAY's shows necessarily but you can kind of suss out the situation from yesterday's shows etc.
Be warned: the people hanging out along the line with show flyers don't work for tkts, they work for the show they're promoting Any information they give you should be considered from that perspective
