Dishes like spicy lobster soup and monkfish osso buco give you an excuse to come here. The real reason to visit is clear as soon as you enter: the fabulous view, 52 stories above ground. Read more

The view from the north and east sides are probably the best; if you're there earlier enough, ask for a table on one of those sides.

The main reason for our visit to this restaurant was the view, but we'll return next time we're in Boston for the food. It was excellent!

I LOVED! :-) Look for Jessica, she is the best waitress ever! I went to celebrate my wedding anniversary and when we order our desert she surprised us with this on our plates!

Cocktails are good and not too costly for that kind of place. And as mentioned almost in every hint - magnificent view and pleasant atmosphere due to the live music.

Check out the observatory first then enjoy a light-affair in the lounge. Excellent deserts & finger food. Dinner in the main dinning room is superb. Make reservations ahead of time. Love it!

If you plan on having at least two drinks each, sit in the lounge. It is $24 spend min per person and you get to enjoy live music while enjoying the view of the city.

Chicken is dry. Haddock is comparable to tempura. Beet salad is excellent. Spicy lobster is buttery. Service is under par. Views are wonderful.

Minimum charge of $25 for table with the best view in Boston - well worth it. Standing at the bar on a non-crowded night is also good.

Given its view of the city, it's the obvious choice for watching July 4 fireworks. For $200, you can watch fireworks while eating a five-course meal (21 and over). Read more

If you don't want to do the $24 min spend to sit at a table, try the couches first come first serve by the northeast corner. Otherwise, hit the bar.

The view here is nice. But that is it. The photo shoes a "medium rare" steak. A chef would call this almost well done. The fra diavolo was served with over cooked pasta and shit veins in the crab.

Get a corner seat, makes for the best view. Get the Pork Chop w/caramelized apples with mac and cheese, it was out of this world. The Crème brûlée was the awesome. One of the best meals I've ever had.

Came here for cocktails so they sat us at the bar. It was 4 pm and the food seating area was completely empty so we went to take a photo by the window and they wouldn't let us despite it being EMPTY!!

Ask to be seated looking towards the river and away from the band. You're gonna throw down some money, so be demanding of the view.

In 1858, Oliver Wendall Holmes referred to the Massachusetts State House Building as the “Hub of the Solar System”. Bostonians liked the sound of that so the nickname, with minor modifications, stuck.

Great view of Boston from the 51st(?) floor. Also, live jazz, which is the music of choice for fancy white people having an expensive dinner.

Don't be sarcastic about the $24/person minimum, they won't get it and will break down the prices for you. Still, lovely place.

You're definitely paying for the venue and experience NOT the food. Tried the lobster roll and a house salad, both were good, but not $50+ good. Drinks were fine, dessert was ok. Nothing amazing.
