    A nice place to visit,u can learn a lot about the culture&history of Istanbul.It tends to be very busy with tourists so make sure u've enough time to stand in all queues.The entrance ticket's 40TL btw

    Make sure to hire a tour guide. It really made a difference telling fun facts about the interesting objects and the castle. Children enjoyed. Remember to take a photo at the souvenir shop booth.

    Come as early as you can, that might help you to avoid 200-meter line. No pictires are allowed in most of rooms of palace, so make sure you visit Harem too to take pictures of beautiful walls :)

    Never go to the Self-Service Restaurant in the very back (4th courtyard) - I was shocked when they told me that I have to pay 24 YTL for a yucky coffee (9 YTL) and a small piece of cake (15 YTL)!

    The museum doesn't have good signal system, be prepared. We entered, followed the crowd and because of a lack of signals got out of the museum... :/ wear fresh clothes (hot weather).
