towne stove and spirits is a warm, welcoming respite in Boston’s bustling Back Bay. It’s a place where all are welcome and the savory scents from our wood-fired rotisserie mix with the hearty sounds of laughter and good conversation.
I feel like the food would have tasted better if we didnt wait an hour and a half for it to come out. Server was great and compd us dessert and an app but still...
The cocktails are always spot on, I like the strawberry-basil limeade for a refreshing drink during the summer
They are very inconstant behind the bar but never horrendous. Sometimes amazing, other times average. Pricey though.
Nothing special - overpriced and over salted. Good for big parties - service doesn't get overwhelmed.
Come for the flatbread. Margarita and bbq chicken. The peppers wrapped in prosciutto are also amazing.
The south end marg is so sour...way to much grapefruit soda. "The just in 'thyme' is a great drink if your having diabetic shock".
This place was mediocre, at best. Their food is so listless and bland
Rude and incompetent waitstaff. Don't bother asking for a manager. She's even ruder and has no understanding of good business or client relations. Def avoid! Many better options in the area!
Lobster popovers are amazing!
Lobster and black truffle pizza is fab!
The service here is a joke.
Probably the best margaritas I've ever had... Sara(h) the bartender is great!
Arrabiata steak was just OK. A little too much oil / grease and not enough infused heat.
Don't forget the LOBSTER popovers!
Don't order the platter, it's of low price/satisfaction ratio. Loved everything else. So far my favorite restaurant in Boston!
It was AWESOME!!! Steak was so tender & service was great...
Try the white wine spritzer
If Monica is working at the bar, ask for her to make you a white sangria, it's incredible!
Oh man. Lobster popovers & lobster pizza are divine. Wagyu steak is decadent. Service attentive. Hip atmosphere. Decent cocktails. Overall lovely dining experience.
Favorites were the scallion pancakes and lobster popovers
Get the lobster popovers!
These folks have a generous pouring policy.
For lunch, the rotisserie chicken salad sandwich is fantastic and a good deal ($10) for Back Bay prices...lovely carrot/zucchini slaw on the side.
Came here for Boston Restaurant Week. Have to be honest: food was very underwhelming and overpriced. Wouldn't recommend it. However, the service was top notch and the wait staff was great.
Two words: Lobster popovers
Favorite place to grab a after work drink.
Johna... That is all...
Cougars and more Cougars. Oh yeah, Libster Popovers are super duper GOOD.
Kelli is the best bartender!
Burguer prime cheddar and bacon! Very good for brunch
Don't bother looking at the menu, order the lobster pizza... well done. Don't mess it up!
Johna is the new manager so you know it's gonna be good! Keep it up!
The sweet corn side dish was a total dream.
Bullet bourbon old fashion doesn't suck
The music here and at Back Bay Social Club has been on point all night.
Classy, great cocktails, great food. Good selection of beers. Try the Martinis here. Best in the Back Bay
Great restaurant with multiple dining areas based on what type of mood you want. The Russian spiced rib is amazing and their cocktails are great as well!
Skip the noisy front bar and head straight to the top level. There's a more intimate space, with more attentive bartenders.
Bacon-lovers, they have a cocktail just for you — Back Baycon Manhattan!
Try the lobsta popovers. Freakin amazing!!!!!
Ask Corey to recommend a wine before you order. A trained sommelier, he'll steer you right!
Food was excellent, but not too keen on the Old-Fashioned's Stateside. Bartenders here seem to love to muddle their faux-cherries making it too sweet and artificial tasting.
Bartenders were the type that make it seem like they are doing you a favor when they take your drink order. They have Hi-Life bottles if you don't feel like waiting for a mixed drink
Two word review: cougar bar.
Try the Lobster Knuckles & Claws! Great as a meal!
A female Asian host on Sunday, Oct 15 hardly smiles. Her greeting manner needs improving.
