It all started in the 50s... Would you believe we started out as a small chain of convenience stores? It's true. Way back in 1958. We were called Pronto Markets. In '67, our founder, the original Trader Joe, changed our name (yes, to Trader Joe's) and the way we do busi...
Great deals on wine!
You'll unlock this special every time you check in.
Put your basket on the floor and kick it along, while on line. Do the Trader Joe's shuffle :)
Cut you some flax. Try adding flaxseed or its oil to your meals. Trader's has it golden roasted, milled, whole, in cereal, in oatmeal. The health benefits are plentiful and the taste is yummy.
Not as crazy as its Union Square brother (and there’s no wine) but you’ll forgive the lines when you get home and enjoy your delicious and inexpensive groceries.
best thing to happen to the UWS since the Apple store
This place is crazy on weekends, but weekdays are cool. Lines look long, but they do a good job ok keepin it moving. Friendly staff!!!!
Disregard the name of the store, they won't actually trade with you, they make you pay for everything. Very misleading.
Def go to this trader joes not the one at union square- union square is a nightmare!!
Do not pass GO. Do not collect $200 until you go to the back for 'today's sample' oh what exciting lives we live!
Fage yogurt is cheapest here it seems
The Saturday late afternoon line is crazy long. Come on a week night if possible.
Beats all other Trader Joes in manhattan... Better stocked, wider aisles and faster check out
Map it out first before starting to shop if it's your first time, or else you'll get home and realise you forgot to buy milk to go with your cereal.
Great (and reasonably priced) for frozen food, dry / canned goods and beer! The line isn't as scary as it seems (unlike 14th St.). Wish they could have a wine store at this location too!
Soy ice cream!!
Use the right line to grab extra stuff on your way to the registers
you people are crazy
Sit on the bench downstairs and wait for people o push their carts on the escalator
Probably the cheapest place to find French products in New York : cheese, mustard, pre cooked bread...
The most pleasant and helpful staff of any store I've ever been to in NYC, and I've been to a lot of stores in NYC. Kudos to the staff and management.
Don't freak out if the checkout line looks really long - it moves fast! Check those bad vibes at the door!
What's the big deal?
Plain Kefir is the best I had outside my home country!
Finally, cheap fresh produce
The Mandarin Orange Chicken is to die for!!!! Yummmm
Best TJ in the city - even though the line looks long, it goes surprisingly fast
Avoid this place like the plague btwn 5-6:30pm; the check out lines are ridiculously loooooong!
Chicken Caesar Wrap: $3.99 Banana: $0.19 Kind Bar: $1.49 You can't beat the price and its good for the bod!
Never go Sunday or Monday evenings!
Hey Security instead of checking me out, your attention should on the woman who JUST bagged a box of Quioña and Maple Syrup....#failedinlife
Never come here on the weekend it is extra crowded!
TJ's Greek yogurt is excellent
Wish they had a wine shop like Union Square.
So cheap. If you're ever planning a big dinner, get all of your main ingredients here. Friendly staff as always.
when it rains its slow best time to come! also Sunday is the busiest trust me I work here
Better layout than the Union Square location, but way busier than the Chelsea one...
Going broke saving money...
Much love, Trader Joe's, but who's ever heard of a line to get into a grocery store on a Monday afternoon?? Skip this over crowded location.
No more food emporium, so y not give this place a shot?
If you're coming for the vacuum fried banana chips you're shit out of luck because this location NEVER HAS THEM
Go early if you want organic baby spinach!
Avoid going late nights as aost all stock is gone. Also weekend afternoons are a nightmare, even so this place is awesome and the lines move quick.
Long line to cashier during peak hours. Try, instead, when they first open for the day.
Whether you're headed for an upscale night at Lincoln Center or a dirty rock show at Terminal 5, stop here first and snack on their phenomenal dark chocolate peanut butter cups. Smooth and deeelish!
Lola from Chopped works here!!
Get in there early to beat the crowds
It should have a special line for pregnant women!
Get here weekdays before noon. No lines and they're restocking shelves with fresh items for the day!
