It all started in the 50s... Would you believe we started out as a small chain of convenience stores? It's true. Way back in 1958. We were called Pronto Markets. In '67, our founder, the original Trader Joe, changed our name (yes, to Trader Joe's) and the way we do bus...
If there's enough space, best believe that I'm gonna push off and ride my shopping cart down an aisle. I've done it before and I'll do it again.
The line is way too long after 5 pm
So much better than the Union Square TJ's, avoid during rush hour though
Pumpkin everything in the Fall!
Wines, cookies, spices.
Great pumpkin stuff season: cupcakes, cookies , coffee, pies and drinks...... All . Happy Halloween
Great place to ease your emotional issues
Great dog treats!!
The best supermarket in NYC
They accept Pay!
Come right when they open for a less crowded shopping experience.
Line may look long sometime but it moves very quickly.
Lines longer than six flags
Always staffs are friendly! I love it!
Shortest lines are on Wednesday through Saturday evenings!
Avocados were cheaper here than my usual grocer in the UES. I usually pick up 'healthy' snacks when I get a chance to shop here -- too far for weekly trips. Tried their Challah buns, I've had better.
Lines aren't as long as the ones in Union Square
There is a crazy middle aged white lady working today as a casher
Go earlier in the day to avoid the line. It moves fast, though.
Nothing like California but still great prices just the line is crazy! Does go fast for the most part.
The line was short but there is one particular employee who always looks pissed off and has very nasty attitude.
Way better laid out than the gramercy location, quick and friendly staff and unique items. Also, if you're looking to make a quick easy dinner they sell the absolute best store bought pizza dough
Come with a friend so you can take turns standing in line (especially on the weekend)
If there are no carts, get in line politely and wait for one.
Not as crazy as union square
talk to korbi. she knows everything.
Recently set a Guinness World Record for Longest Line Ever
The cheapest place to get organic yogurt in the city, so I try stocking up on other affordable organic foods while there.
Don't come on a Monday tho! Otherwise it's great.
Decent selection of craft beers, decent prices
This place is always swarming with people. Go with a friend so one of you can shop while the other waits in line.
Worst day: Sunday.
Chicken, pork gyoza potstickers
The line looks like a hot mess (and is) but moves fast. At its worst (starting at the entrance), Ive gotten out in 15-20 mins, approx the same as waiting behind 2 people at Costco
Awesome selection and so much cheaper than other options!
Pumpkin coffee duhhhh
Am I the only one who loves Trader Joe's pumpkin macaron?
Love the brown rice medley, all natural BBQ sauce, red lentils, friendly staff & layout of store.
talk about a large product selection. BTW great service.
LOVE the 6th avenue location. Roomier than 14th st. My go-to for party shopping. I always get the burrata cheese, the cold cuts , the dark chocolate ginger and the orange chocolate strips.
30 check out counters and super friendly staff!
Great variety of healthy meal options and snacks. If you're looking to eat well, you can pick up some key foods here to add to your grocery list and in expensively. Only downfall are the LONG lines.
So much nicer than the USQ location. More space in the aisles.
Avoid during peak hours, when the line snakes around the entire store.
Pre 11 AM on a Sunday, best chance for a no hassle stock up.
Way easier to shop in than the one on 72nd
Look for the flyer items. On a Sunday short lines before 11 am
Not crazy busy
IT'S SO CROWDED.
