Cozy bar, a lot of good whiskey cocktails. Get a reservation for a little privacy, or show up early for a seat at the bar.
You can't go wrong with any cocktails in the Tiki section of this menu, but I love the surfer on acid
Sazerac. Always sazerac.
Awesome cocktails and cool space. Great place to drink and chat with friends.
Great cocktails, nice atmosphere and am overall look from the 20s. Make sure you ask the barman for a suggestion.
Try the Ardbeg rinsed Zacapa
1920's themed bar with a dark speak easy atmosphere. Solid cocktails - a recommend stop on a tenderloin bar tour.
Best drinks in the city!
Great cocktails, well mixed.
Excellent cocktails, properly mixed.
The bartenders are friendly and knowledgable, but are they required to wear hipster suspenders?
Very clever and versatile menu. The tables you get with a reservation are secluded. Try it.
Great spot to wait for your B+B reservation.
Same owner as Bourbon & Branch so you know the cocktails are good. The vibe and bartenders here are slightly better though
Don't be fooled by the fact their house old fashioned is made with wild turkey. It's not the wild turkey of your youth. It's barrel aged and amazingly tasty.
Get the punch bowl. Do it. Don't ask questions.
surfer on acid
Old Bird is a surprisingly sweet bourbon based drink.
I dug this spot. The bartenders looked like they were part of The Lumineers (fashion style) and were very helpful. I also love the decor and intimate little booths.
Lean back in the banker's chairs like a boss.
Bomb ass playlist.
Afternoon Tea Sour was amazingly well made. Refreshing and strong. Really like the mood of this place as it's upscale and relaxed yet not swanky so it fits everyone.
Tucked away in the TL but they make some 💣 ass drinks
The Sazerac is world class, but if you're a real spirits fan you've got to try the Bulliet Rye and Green Chartreuse barrel-aged spirit. It's simply awesome.
People with reservations get a different menu than those who pull up a seat at the bar... So plan ahead (the extended menu is awesome).
Excellent spot. Go here. Bartenders can make real drinks-- anything you like.
Get a gin drink! they also have a house made Pimms
Make reservations to drink in one of their themed booths.
Get a booth
Caroline is amazing.
Waitress here has a serious attitude problem. Be ready if you dare to do things like get your own water.
Afternoon Tea Sour, best gin-based cocktail in SF.
Great cocktails, cool atmosphere, shitty neighborhood.
Great drinks, love the Southside.
Awful inattentive service. List is fussy and confusing for no good reason. Drinks not enough to cancel out the awful experience.
Waltz in and find a seat along the bar or in the small mezzanine (good people watching) and order from a frequently changing menu http://barchick.com/find-a-bar/san-francisco/tradition
Great drinks, great servers, awful music.
There are two toilets. A pub in Ireland this size could not function with only two toilets. Conclusion: Americans don't drink very much.
No hats? Get over yourself, Tradition...
12 mile is the way to go! Bourbon ftw.
Order off-menu. Get a Goldrush. You won't be sorry, and you'll become everyone's hero for suggesting it.
The Tradition is complete with its own proprietary bottled, aged spirits, and a lengthy drinks bible divided into various genres of drinking: tiki, Irish pub, speakeasy, dive bar, etc.
Get a 12 Mile if you like Bourbon. So good.
Count your change
They do their own finishes on some scotch they buy, and its delicious. Auchentoshan finished in Sauterne was definitely very interesting.
Try Mr Lew's Sazerac. Dayum.
