People tend to check in during these times:
Creepy feelings, slamming doors, gusts of wind, and strange sounds? Ohh yes.
Glad they include the positives about mental health as well, and don't treat it like a "house of horrors"
i don't know what's creepier, the asylum, or the town it is in. try to avoid this town at night. people just stand on their porches and stare as you pass by. the curfew/emergency siren sounds creepy.
I did a two hour historic your here. It was wonderful, the staff was wonderful. Our guide'a name was Elizabeth and she was a pleasure. I highly recommend this tour to learn lots of wonderful history.
We're closed for regular walk in tours until March the 29th, Hope to see you then!
Bring a small ball to give as a gift for the little boy, and a rose for the woman who lived on the third floor. Their spirits will appreciate it. Happy haunting!
Tours are on the hour... It's quite the site.
Really awesome place to visit. Partially restored. For $30 you can get a 4-floor tour of part of the Kirkbride bldg and some of the grounds and medical center. Will be returning.
Haven't been in yet to tour but I wanna go tour it :)
Overnight ghost tour is must for something truly unique. Had a blast. Come prepared, it's dark and a bit chilly. Copperhead is a great tour guide, if you get him in your group.
A great place in Civil War history!
Don't go here for haunted house! Even if you pay in advance online they won't let you in or refund your money if they decide it's too crowded! We drove over 200 miles & they still wouldn't let us in!
