Inspectors closed Trattoria Alberta citing no one staffed and certified in food safety. It passed re-inspection and reopened.

Unsatisfying experience. We weren't given bread and both our dishes-the pesto fettuccine and carbonara-were drowning in oil and lacked taste.

The lobster/crab ravioli is amazing. Great selections of wines too. The owner and staff are friendly and regularly engage in conversation making it an amazing experience.

DC is not known for it's Italian food. Trattoria Alberto is no exception. Mediocre at best.
