The Hogwart's Express leaves from Platform 9 3/4.
This was a nice station, now like fort-Knox due to barriers the entire way around.
With the new barriers up it makes it more difficult to wave good bye to love ones. Additionally al railway stations are are windy and cold especially at 7am!!
This isn't the correct address for Truro Train Station. Correct addy is; Truro Station, Station Road, Truro, TR13HH
It's a small station. At busy times be prepared to wait up to five minutes simply to get through the barriers.
Now the new barriers are in place park as close to the crossing as possible as there is no longer a station entrance onto the platform direct from the car park.
No matter the length of your train, wait past the Pumpkin Café if you're heading west - Only First Class coaches stop near the entrance!
Be prepared for a log jam at peak time due to the new barriers. They have turned a lovely station into a fright....
I remember steam trains from here!. The day for my move to study the train was derailed at Penzance - 2 hours of waiting, before mobile phones!!
If you catch the Falmouth connection often, be prepared to spend a lot of time here. The walk to Sainsbury's can be done in 10 minutes each way.
Online bookings on Falmouth line is sometimes wrong. Every 30 mins. 25 to the hour and 5 past OR 10 to and 20 past
This station is such a nightmare now the barriers are up, especially since the level crossing closes about five minutes before a train leaves. Nonsense.
Nightmare if you're running late since they got all anal about having ticket barriers, don't expect people on the platform with you either...
