Room (used to be a typing room) where Ray Bradbury wrote part of Fahrenheit 451 is in the basement, Room 60. Access from entrance on the east side of Powell. Look for plaque.

Take a tour Bruin Day, 4/14, and experience UCLA’s living history. One of our four original buildings, Powell is home to 200,000+ volumes and great studying spots. Tours begin 1:30, 2, 2:30 and 3 p.m.

Powell Library is UCLA’s most iconic and main undergraduate library. Completed in 1929, Powell Library was one of the four original buildings on the university’s campus.
Some stunning architecture here. It's so wonderfully majestic in places you may be too distracted to read!
Need a 2-hour reserve book overnight? Check it out in less than two hours before the library closes and you can bring it back the next morning. Ask at Circ/Reserves desk on the 2nd floor.
