Window was drafty, fine for autumn, not going to be fun in winter
It's comfy enough. Wifi is unusably slow. Adjacent indoor skateboard park and opposite music venue make Degraw St rooms very loud at night.
Is my home away from home I've stayed here for two years 2 to 3 times a week they know me here I love this place I am not happy that the rate to started to go up though but I do continue to go
When I read the reviews I got extremely worried & lost sleeps over our hotel choice but it was excellent. Bathroom is completely clean & the room is just the right size for NY. Nothing to worry about.
The hand drawn fire escape map was my favorite part.
I don't think they could have made the rooms any smaller legally. Unless it were the 1890s.
Take the stairs up to the roof terrace for a terrific view.
Compact and bijou Mostyn, compact and bijou.
ROOM 101 was clean, cheap, modern, room size is enough, but very loud, room right on the street, room behind the reception, for new york ok, you get used to it
This place is great- close to a metro station, amazing breakfast, rooftop sun.. The rooms are small, but if you are in NY for space, probably just leave.
When did a room large enough for 2 beds, a wardrobe and an ensuite become too small!? This place is awesome- make sure you take the stairs one day okay???x
The rooms may be small, but what else do you need a hotel for, I mean really? It's a comfortable place to sleep and take a shower.
Try and play twister in one of the rooms. It's fun. Seriously what are you people wanting to do in a hotel in Brooklyn?? P90X? It's clean and fine here.
If you think the rooms here are too small, you are either a princess, a fat ass or an hotel rat. In the last case, just get out of the room and explore NYC.
Do yourself a favor and skip this place. The rooms are about 8x10 excluding the bath, with no desk space and a folding chair to sit in. The walls are also paper thin & the staff pretty clueless.
Small room, far from manhattan but the prices are honest
Hair dryer and iron if you need them at the front desk.
