People tend to check in during these times:
Best selection of breads in the hood
Don't skip out on grabbing a tub of their homemade guacamole! 😛
pricey but convenient
There is a coffee grinder if you need it
Try to avoid going here on a Sunday afternoon--gets insanely crowded.
Better for specialties (cheese, etc) than full on grocery shopping. Gets super crowded sometimes.
Free cheese samples in the back. I dare you not to take some home after trying
Great selection of ice cream in the back :)
Pricey, but clean and well organized. Long lines move quicker than you think.
I only come here for the cheese. The selection is good! And sometimes there are samples :)
Great cheese selection (there's always samples to try). Mmm! The olive bar is great too & cheaper than Whole Foods.
Try whatever they are sampling. You will buy.
Produce across the street at K&Y is much less expensive and great quality
VERY NICE MARKET, EVERYTHING YOU NEED UNDER ONE ROOF,
Really Overpriced!!! But its Convenient
Smaller selection but nice veggies. Aisles are so small impossible to navigate especially with my stroller. Nice breads and hale&hearty soups but boutique like and I can never find everything I want
These jelly slices are transcendent!
Their nut & honey granola is a must-buy.
Great roast chicken.
Talenti, Il Laboratorio gelatos; Stumptown, Counter Culture, Cafe Grumpy & more other Whole bean coffeebeans r found here
The best run and well stocked food shop around, the manager is very helpful so feel free to ask away.
Next time you stop by, check out Hollands Old Amsterdam's premium aged Gouda. You can find out more at http://oldamsterdam.com
Overpriced, but good selections of olive oils, vinegars, cheese and olives
Union Market brand orange juice. The oranges must come from Narnia or something. As good as any fresh squeezed I've ever tasted.
More expensive than Whole Foods but hands-down the most well-curated cheese selection.
Um...the bag of green seedless grapes cost $11.63. I like this place but it's a money suck. Also. The grapes ain't worth almost $12.
For a delicious organic boost of energy try a Real Bar.
Has an amazing selection of really great cheeses. Also lots of options for coffee, ice cream, chips and crackers, and prepared foods.
Now at Union Market, BluePrintJuice! Taste The Real Rainbow.
It used to be a Blockbuster. Oh, and the cheese samples are always a hit!
BAO fresh kombucha is proudly sold here!
best deal on iced coffee in the hood. $2.17 for a large, fresh cold brew. and very rarely any line in the morning commute hours.
Sundays seem like the day when you can enjoy the most free samples (i.e. ice cream, chips & guac, cheese, cookies).
Love the place. Search out the olive oil and bread samples. Flowers are overpriced however
Irish Cheddar infused with Guinness Porter, yum!
The guac, salsa and cheese samples are always readily visible, but pop into the olive oil aisle and look on the third shelf up for a secret free sample surprise.
Their own olive oil is quality with a capital E.V.
Better prices for Stumptown and Gorilla coffee beans than other shops.
They have a little bit of everything and while more expensive than a Trader Joe's and Met, the quality is far better. Plus yummy samples!
Love this place, though the music is deafening.
Prices are more or less the same as the Met and the offerings are much nicer. Plus, they are open until 10pm, which is always about when I need to go grocery shopping!
Go early in the day. You'll be sure to snag all of the delicious samples they pass out. My fave: the burrata mozzarella and marinated mushrooms! Also a must-try: turkey-ricotta meatballs
how did i ever live without this market! fresh fish & meats, amazing cheese section, an olive bar! excellent for dinner parties & regular groceries
