People tend to check in during these times:
Metrolink is Southern California’s commuter train. It operates seven routes through six counties and links communities to employment and activity centers.
Metro Gold Line on platforms 1 and 2, closest to Alameda. Metrolink on platforms 3 to 12. Amtrak on platforms (13, 14) closest to Vignes.
Finally in L.A.
Love this place, just hop on to a train or go on the metro link and go anywhere.
Historic and still very busy place. There are new shops there which always nice, and there are connections to everywhere. That's a plus in my opinion. Other than that, a nice place to hang out and eat
.. . Since "HOTTAESCADA" been ON Swarm/Foursquare Union station Men's room "Never" has hand soap in the restroom WzUp with that ?
Great station and helpful Amtrak employees
If you riding the Metrolink's you'll have to go to the window to purchase a ticket on the North West side or buy them from the vending machine on the east side of the building close to the bakery
Love this place. Time does not pass here.
Lots of undesirable homeless people that act like they have a public right to use the facilities
really nice architecture love this station♡ - red, purple, gold line, amtrak, n metrolink!!! beautiful palm trees outside ~
Never mind the homeless people this train station is a beautiful peace of LA history
Go to the store for some japanese treats
Follow Metro LA Alerts (@metrolaalerts) and Metrolink (@metrolink) on twitter for live updates. Every now and then, there can be stupid long delays.
Great art deco train station!! Must stop in downtown LA
Little garden outside waiting area is cute
The Architectural details here are mind blowing. Arrive early. Relax a bit and take it all in.
Entering this “Last of the Great Rail Way Stations” is like walking onto a movie set from the 1940s – an amazing mix of art deco, streamline moderne and Spanish mission styles.
Looking forward to great restaurants in the old ticketing area!
Just got in from Seattle. Worth it!
the megabus stop is all the way at the back of the station. get there early to pick a good seat!
the only outlet I was able to find to charge my dying phone was between the metro customer center and the fish tank in the east lobby where the Metro information phone is. by train schedule pamphlets
Trains, I am on the metrolink
Have You Seen Me?? Missing USC Med Student. Last Seen Walking North on Alvarado.
BoltBus picks up on the front side of the station, all the way to the far left, past the loading/drop off zone.
People who work here are friendly and helpful; passengers too
On our way to dodger stadium
Going to the game :)
If you're in a hurry, don't walk behind women in 4" heels. Ladies: stop wearing 4" heels if you can't walk fast, especially at a train station.
Beautiful architecture. Interesting place to people watch
Very very v far from Central Park. Not to be confused with grand central station.
God help you if they're filming a movie. Hollywood comes first train's come second.
Train to San Diego? Go online/call Super Shuttle if your hotel is far from downtown! Taxi to Loews Resort in Coronado $40 cab, $16 Shuttle! AAA link -> http://www.supershuttle.com/Sales/AAA.aspx
Take the surf liner down to San Diego
The scene in The Dark Knight Rises in which the Scarecrow holds court was filmed at Union Station.
Metropolitan Lounge now open for business/sleeper class. Go past the Amtrak ticket counter, go to 2nd floor. Lounge is on your left. Smokers can smoke in 'privacy' opposite Lounge entrance. Rejoice!
Not as nice as the Union Stations on the East Coast and there is no Amtrak Lounge for sleeping car passengers pre-departure. Amtrak to San Diego, New Orleans, Chicago, Chicago via Houston and Seattle!
It's a beautiful building. Grab a brochure and spend some time walking around.

The taxi drivers on the cab rank are a bunch of halfwit gunts who have no idea of the way around their city. Especially the rude asses working for that yellow firm. You're better off calling a cab.
On weekends, use Metrolink and pay $10 for a whole day.
Why move to the right of the escalator to let someone pass when there's an empty staircase to the left if your in a rush then use it let me stand here and chillax! !!
Looking good. Polite panhandlers.
The only thing I don't like about LA Union Station is there is no metro lounge for sleeper car passengers.
Lots of interesting/colorful characters here...
During the summer, this place gets really hot since the building has no air conditioned..
