Avoid Rush hours if possible
Pretty hefty construction going on right now. Make sure you follow the signs closely
Looking for a decent pint of beer while waiting for your train? Now serving Mill St. Beers at UP Express terminal, upstairs at west end. Local craft brew instead of usual big-brand American swill.
Nice old station with market stalls outside for a bite to eat before your train
The trains go places.
Newly renovated Union station is meh. Sucks that the platform is officially divided (One to Finch, the other to Downsview). Worst station to have that divider!! Argh.
The interior is a bit shoddy and rundown, but the exterior of the building is pretty immense.
Renovation is a bit of a pain, but will look nice once it's done
I don't know if it's because some areas are under construction but This place is literally a mess, not very good signals of where trains are leaving, no staff either. Very disappointing
Wonderful old station with some fantastic architecture
If you need to talk to customer service in the evening, give yourself 10-12 minutes lead time...long line.
Renovations are coming along nicely.
Not too many places to eat at the station when you're waiting for a train. But very easily accessible to a lot of downtown via the underground which is great in the winter.
New here, free wifi
Can use skywalk to get all the way to simcoe and front.
Taking the train and dislike crowds? Download the GO Mobile app to check platform departures without having to crowd at the TVs.
Under perpetual renovation...
The construction make coming here a nightmare
The Barrie train leaves from platforms 25/26.
The revitalization project is massive and over the course of a very long time but the fruits of that labour are starting to show.
The U in Union actually stands for "Unending construction"
So they say!!!
this is going to be amazing when it is completed! Yay TTC!
The new union station buildout is looking so good
New platform looks great now for the rest I'd the constitution to be finished !!!!!
With the construction this place is confusing
It's under construction still. Employees are helpful.
Always check for your pre assigned seat.
Prepare to get fucked in the ass by construction and the confusing signage that results from it, and miss your train by a few minutes and have to wait.
Still lots of construction disruptions and temporary changes (March 27, 2014).
Did you know, "GO Transit" stands for "Government of Ontario Transit?" GO is operated by Metrolinx, an agency of the Gov't of Ont.
No decent little pub for a good pint and some tapas while waiting for the trains :-(
Did you know "GO" Transit stands for "Government of Ontario" Transit?
Watch out for last minute platform changes, or trains that aren't on the screens, particularly on the GO Trains.
Pay it forward and hold a door open for two groups of people.
Perfect place to catch a train or two.
Beware of the ongoing construction! Leave extra time and walk safely!
There should be a Starbucks
Just remember the 509 stop is outside so if it's raining... bring an umbrella - I wont.make that mistake again :)
Run people run... save yourself some time and leave a few minutes early, it's common sense, I mean it is a transportation hub after all
To avoid the Front St construction delays and mess, use the Bremner Blvd entrance.
The robots are out... same path same time like clockwork each day as they from the tain to bay street. That's why we live downtown, less routine and more coffee breaks on our commute :)
Rush hour ??? Go around if possible
Walk left, stand right. Especially with all the construction going on.
If you're heading home on the Lakeshore West line, avoid the Concourse and enter your platform via the Teamway. Always board the higher number platform - there will be less people.
The Staff and Red Caps are very helpful for disabled passengers! Seek them out and don't forget to tip them well for checking your bags prior to departure!
If it's raining water will fall through the platform onto your head. Keep a hat or brolly handy.
