United: go and see how Virgin Atlantic does lounges, then trash all your furniture and start all over again
Eat elsewhere in the terminal. There's very little food in the lounge, and it's poor quality - but it does make the in-flight meals look good by comparison!
Awkwardly listen to iBankers try to live out an "Up In The Air" fantasy by picking up traveling business women with "we should get lunch next time you're in town", then handing business card.
Head to the area past the bar, quietest corner in the place.
Not sure where the previous commenter was but there are NO showers in this lounge.
Biscuits. Cheese. Apples. Bananas. That's about all your food options. Drinks (alcohol) cost money. Wifi is free but power sockets sparse. Crowded lounge. Unimpressed.
You'll need to supply your own positivity & happiness as it doesn't radiate from what few UAL personnel there is available. Perhaps there's an upgrade charge for cheerfulness like there is for bags?
If you use mobile boarding pass make sure you have power in you IPhone.
Check out the quiet room all the way in the back, beyond the business desks. Stay quiet.
Be courteous to the bartender and Sierra Nevada is also free.
1K check-in line is under-staffed and painfully slow.
Incredibly clean showers, no wait. Little bag of toiletries in case you lost yours. Towel warmer, hot water, plenty of space, hair driyer.
Looks nice when walking into the reception area, then you get to the lounge... The furniture is in desperate need of a refresh. The snacks are the same as any other United Club. Beer & wine are free.
In the United Club a glass of Veuve is only $12. That's the best deal going!
If you put your mind to it, you will get hammied here and have a wonderful nap on your flight!
The dumpest airlines that i have ever seen. I am hosting my customers and they dont let me to fly with them, keeping me standby. I will never ever fly with them again.
People the tables are not for your feet
For an international gateway really too bad that the United Club at SFO has no refresh or shower facilities.
Want a great tip? Don't fly this crappy airline ever!! I know I won't again. Simply awful.
Where on time reservations go to die.
Try the Westin Relaxation room in the rear of the club, behind the business center!!
#1 tip: fly the same airline to attain status. The premier security lines are 100% faster!
Print your boarding pass yourself before heading to the check-in desk. You'll save yourself a lot of time. Then just check your bags in at the machine if necessary.
One of the most spacious United Clubs out there. Take advantage to find a nook all by yourself!
I use it to update flights, change schedule. Food is almost nonexistent and pretty bad. Compared to foreign carriers lounges it's at the bottom.
Security line is a mile long - arrive early
Lounge is seatless during peak times especially now that Continental is using as well.
Only "free" beer that is offered is draft Budweiser. Yuck!
Get some Ghirardelli Chocolate
If the line is extremely long here... Try calling 1-800-UNITED-1 to get assistance while waiting...
Forgot how nice this club is. Never regretted spending the money once I'm inside, if I end up with an hour or more to kill. You get two free passes if you sign up with the Mileage Plus Visa.
Total disappointment NO food other than prematurely cut bananas crappy crackers and carrots. $550 a year??? Please not even the shitty free Chardonnay is worth that much.
Cappuccino machine ! Wish all United clubs had these
Strong vodka drinks take the edge off before the flight 👍
This place is cold as ever in the summer!
The mysterious brown things in the dispenser are chocolate covered raisins. Try the free Financial Times, but beware the crossword.
This is undeniably the most well-designed and luxurious United Clubs I have ever been to. Wonderful food and beverage selection and it truly feels like you are in a 5 star hotel!
To counter other tips, I've had great service whenever I've been here. My trick: sit at the bar.
Use the Club in the International Terminal for early morning flights, the line is much smaller
Surprisingly bare bones, but good natural light.
Beer, house wine and house liquor no longer cost.
After gone through the comments posted here you wonder if anyone from UA actually is reading this...
Thumbs-up to Milano cookies! Standard, I know, but this classic cookie doesn't go out of style :)
A United Hub. Too many people so allow plenty of time for connections.
Free booze (of lower quality) and limited food. However, the ladies at the lounge are experts at helping you with flight delays and the like.
