    No food or liquids allowed! So if you have a backpack, leave it at the cloak room at the library congress, Jefferson building. There is a tunnel connecting the two buildings.

    Security is tight. Leave most items at hotel. No food, no empty water containers, pretty much just you and maybe paper.

    The restaurant is expensive. If you can, get over to one of the cafes in the surrounding office buildings. It gives you an even better Capitol experience.
