Fishball noodles: Tried every stall. 2 notable ones: #01-48 operated by old couple (thin Ipoh-style kuay teow, handmade fishballs), & #0-10 (tasty, bouncy fishballs)
#01-22 is the best nasi ayam penyet n friendly makcik
Coffee: We tried stalls recommended here on 4SQ & by locals. Our choice: De Hua #01-74. Their concoction had a rounded bitter taste. Somehow it tasted silky in d mouth :-) N no sour aftertaste. Ding!
Prawn noodles: Stall #01-21 Kim Seah serves them piping hot! Soup is light yet tasty. Ask 4 pork lard chips if u wanna be sinful ;-)
Mi chiam kueh (local peanut pancake): Found a stall similar 2 pancakes sold in Penang: small, crispy edges, avail in several fillings (peanut, corn, coconut, red bean paste,...) Lim Kee #01-55

Fried carrot cake (chai tau kueh): Njoyed my serving fr Geylang Trad Carrot Cake #01-34. They even threw in real carrots (orange ones), chai por, n chopped garlic to fry!!! Yum!
