Be aware of thieves
Video games for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS in the Teen/Children sections. Max of 2 at once though, and it's only for a week.
Return your books on time. It'll cost you less.

Even if you aren't a huge reader, worth checking out for the amazing architecture. One of the best libraries in the lower mainland, in my opinion.
Internet is very sluggish during the afternoons when it's busy. Evening speeds are just fine.

Never, EVER, take your eyes off your belongings. Certain regulars here have sticky fingers and will rob you even if you are dozed off at your desk.

Great relaxing sounds outside the library after working hours. Sitting on a bench and listening to this helps to get my thoughts in order.

The library would benefit from a smell detector that would prevent people with poor hygiene from entering. It is not pleasant sitting next to you Mr. Stinky.
Awesome library. But the WI-FI is painfully slow. Tether your laptop to your cell phone if you can.
Possibly the sketchiest bathrooms in the city. . . No idea why, but every time you go in there, you surprise someone?!?
Great places to come with kids on the weekend. The Children's section always has colouring pages for the kids to draw while I select their books. Great job!

Their Arts department loans out music CDs that you can import into iTunes. Expand your collection, or experiment with some new types of music for your seawall walks!

There are great, free introductions to the library's job hunting resources every Tuesday at 10.30am and Thursday at 2.30pm. Lasts about an hour. Floor 4.
Not exactly the best place to go during the Canucks game. All the groans from the 8-1 loss really cramped my studying!
Watch movies on the blue computers, wifi service is free and great, opened until 9pm daily except Sat & Sundays. Close to everything, Yaletown, Pacific Centre, Skytrain, Banking, food and dining, Post
1/2 hour storytimes for the kiddies every Mon/Wed starting from 10:30. French equivalent on Tuesdays at 2pm.
