Good bar food and great atmosphere, but the drafts were warm, the cocktails were weak, and the service was slow.
Little pricey, food is average. Happy hour is nothing special.
The Sweet Gem salad is delicious.
Scallops yes, green salad euh.
Had the tasting menu with the wine pairing- a must do if you just say to relax and enjoy the meal. Great food!
It was a game-changer salad. Like the 2013-rockstar version of Jared Leto wearing leather pants and long hair, it can take years to grow into the personae you want to be. For me, it was liking frisee.
From Washingtonian: 3 egg omelet, baked eggs with grits, trout with fingerlings, soup and salad
Fantastic brunch. Need to come back for dinner.
Chef Will Morris is slaying it! Don't miss the pork belly or the grilled octopus if it's on the menu.
Longtime chef Tony Chittum is missed, but his successor, William Morris, is a rising star.
One of the better restaurants in Old Town and since it's on the west end of King Street it tends to cater to a more local clientele rather then the typical King Street tourist crowd.
If it's a special occasion, let them know when you arrive. They'll take care of you!
It's restaurant week! Come by and taste generous portions at Vermillion. The bar is just as nice as any table.
Everything was excellent. Service was attentive by not clingy.
Great crew manning the bar! Always good food at Vermillion.
Try the riotto fritters!
Ask to sit upstairs! Table bread is amazing...food is superb!
حاطين الأسعار في المنيو بالدولار .. فاكرين نفسهم في لاس فيجاس
I love the interior design and stew-type brunches.
Great ambience and food. The sirloin is amazing, but the nutella cheesecake is disappointing - not enough nutella or cheesecake.

This is awesome food with a great atmosphere! Sit upstairs, enjoy a glass of wine or beer, have the dirty rice for entree. Lovely! A bit pricey, but worth it.
Outstanding food. Had the chocolate chip pancakes, potato hash and mint juleps. All realllly good
Try the Crispy Skin Trout - Nice Crispiness on skin and great summer citrus salad! Wrote about it here:http://www.foodnomad.net/2012/05/vermilion.html
Cop the Chef's burger here, available at lunch and brunch, with chicken fried bacon (yup, CHICKEN FRIED BACON), cheddar, escarole and green goddess dressing.
Best brunch in Alexandria, VA!
Wow. Server Alex knows his wines!! Great apps, wine AND desserts!!

Check out their five-course menu featuring seven different types of mid-Atlantic seafood - available until December 30, and priced at $75 per person.
Book their farm table, available for reservations two nights a week. Tony Chittum serves you himself and explains where he found all the local produce you'll be eating. A real foodie experience.
Treat yourself with the dinner tasting menu!

Brunch is great, the Double Cheeseburger is to die for, tasted like a beautiful steak.

The Junior VP "box" lunch is the best bet so you can try soup and a sandwich!
Get the hibiscus blossom. The flower is edible!
Don't get picked up by a blue-hair!
Lobster tortellini. Delicious!
Excellent bar snacks--love the fancy fries and the artichoke dip. So good.
Amazing food. One of the best American bistros I have been to. Try the tasting menu. The butternut squash soup is very tasty.
Everything is good but they have an excellent steak.
