    Borscht and varenky are definitely the best things here. Very neat and nice little place. Below was a sweet, blueberry varenky (a special) and potato varenky. Very delicious. Great service.

    A staple of the late night East Village scene. Stopped in on the way back up town at 2am on a Tuesday. Had the Reuben for first time and it was good. Friends had the pierogi and really liked them too.

    Salads are huge-lentil salad with shaved goats' cheese and creamy dill dressing on side is awesome. Mixed pierogies worth it $7 for 7 pieces boiled or fried with 3 sauces on the side. Spinach cheese!

    Beware the cold borscht, in which a hard-boiled egg often lurks beneath the surface! The hot borscht is safe. A side of beet and horseradish salad (really, more of a relish) is safest.

    I know Borscht is king at Veselka, but I personally am a big fan of their chili. It's pretty mild, but very flavorful. Also great Pierogies and Mac and Cheese. Definitely my go-to spot after 2am.

    The corned beef hash will change your life. It's not the steaming pile of crap that you get at any deli. Veselka serves actual corned beef mixed with onions and peppers. It's eye opening, and tasty.

    Вкусный борщ, как дома :) И удивительно было увидеть украинское пиво "Львовское 1715". Цены так же хорошие! В общем, рекомендую.

    Не плохой нужно сказать украинский ресторан)) Борщ почти как настоящий, пельмени так себе - вареники и голубцы ВЫШЕ ВСЕХ ПОХВАЛ!!)))

    Возможно, самый худший ресторан украинской кухни, более мерзкого борща я не ел в своей жизни нигде. А биф строганоф был в моей жизни - корм для собак, желеобразный такой. Компот вкусный!

    Борщ никакущий, вареники с вишней фигня (тесто то-ли не солили , то-ли вообще сахарили - бред) ! Компот чересчур сладкий, бе. Названию соответствует только 2 маленьких бодика над барной стойкой ...
