NYC's First BBQ Restaurant, Celebrate 20yrs in Times Square NYC!
Despite the crowds, you won’t wait long to dive into Train Wreck Fries, Virgil’s Pig Out, Corn Bread, Virgil’s Coleslaw and Cheese Grits with a Fall Off The Porch Ice Tea.
Tender brisket, slide-off-the-bone ribs, and mouth-watering pulled pork. Get any of those and pair it with the trainwreck fries, you won't know what to do with yourself.
The hush puppies will weigh you down all night, but they are oh so worth it.
Incredible barbecue, but it's the trainwreck fries and hush puppies that really make this New York classic worth the visit.
If you go to Virgil's you have to check out the Trainwreck Fries.
This is one of my favorite BBQ in New York City (texas beef briscet is amazing!)
The Trainwreck Fries are amazing!
Hush Puppies. 'nuff said.
The best ribs in the city handsdown...
This is the best pulled-pork sandwich I have had North of the Mason-Dixon line.
The chicken wings will change your perception. The heat is infused throughout the meat and they are smoked, not fried. Order one serving for the table to start the meal right!
Try the train wreck fries!!!
Any place that encourages you to drop your peanut shells on the floor isn't gonna blink an eye at the mess your kid leaves behind. Plus crayons, coloring books and killer hot dogs.
This is one of my favorite BBQ joints in the city. Love the selection of BBQ ribs but their hushpuppies are the bomb!!!
Margs will get you lit, pulled pork will get you stuffed, the staff is great and the game is always on. Forget about table setting, we only sit at the bar. Def try the Trainwreck Fries.
Get the hushpuppies!
Best biscuits in NYC!!
Great bbq nachos
Omar says, "scotch goes great with pulled meat products". Give it a try.
My wife loved the hush puppies. Or maybe it was the maple butter. Me not so much. It's fried dough. Now the brisket is another story. Yummy.
Some of the best BBQ in NYC. Try the nachos.
The sweet tea will rock your world. has a hint of lemon
You know it's going to be messy BBQ when you get a bath towel for a napkin.
Huge portions ! Received great service every time I went there :) Mac n' cheese delish and so is the infamous trainwreck fries !
Like everyone else has said, order the train wreck fries already! And you can never go wrong with the Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich.
Awesome BBQ and greens.
If you're hungry somewhere near Times Square, this is the place you'll need to stop. Great food, short waiting time, prices aren't too high.
Virgil's was inspired by some of the most notable BBQ in the South. Now you can try Southern cooking right in the middle of Times Square.
Melhor american barbecue próximo a times aquarela
The corn bread is great. Has corn kernels in it. It comes with maple syrup butter, which is amazing. Also try Georgia chicken fried steak. Big portion with 2 sides. Totally worth it.
This place has some fantastic BBQ. Almost as good as the BBQ joints I'm used to down south.
The BBQ Nachos are delectable.
Unbelievable BBQ sauce!
Try the Memphis Dry Rub Ribs - I'm not ashamed to admit I went back to Virgil's for a last round of ribs for Fat Tuesday, 3 days after ordering the same (via @Foodspotting)
Everything here is great. Eat at the bar, take care of the bartender and he will take care of you.
The pulled pork, awesome!
One of the best Memphis style ribs you'll ever find. Which is hard to fathom that such good BBQ could be found outside the south.
A bit expensive, but it's hard to resist the hush puppies.

hush puppies, brisket, and mash potatoes are the best!!!
The hush puppies with maple butter and Trainwreck Fries are to die for. The Carolina Pulled Pork is delicious too. I can't wait to go back.
Delicious hush puppies.
Awesome BBQ ham.
Hush puppies with maple butter!
You're paying time square prices for lousy food. Don't bother!
Get the hushpuppies and honey butter!
