It’s got a unique vintage atmosphere: the 1920s Egyptian-themed décor harks back to movie palaces of the day like TLC Egyptian Theatre. But the best part is the expansive leg room between rows. Read more

One of the best theaters in Los Angeles and one of the last remaining historical buildings from the 1920s. Best legroom with really comfortable seats. Oh and matinee showings are only $6.50!

Love this theater for it's ambiance, awesome manager who dresses up in costume for each movie, and the great leg room since they've removed every other seat. Sometimes it's cool so bring a sweater.

This is Mikel Jollett of the Airborne Toxic Event's favorite place to see a movie in LA. He says, “It’s this huge, beautiful theater, but it always feels more intimate, like you’re in a living room.”

Best place to see movies in Los Angeles. Great sound, tons of legroom & genuine 1990's prices. Fuck Regent Theaters and AMC, go here and support a great local spot. Even the concessions are cheaper.

This is a great venue love the Egyptian Decor. Plenty of leg room, comfy seats, mug holders. I'm cozy. Even if you see a movie that sucks here. You won't be disappointed in the venue.

If you're seeing a popular movie, go there a little early to line up and get the better seats. Go through the left door when you enter as everyone always seems to go right.

Built in 1923 atop the ruins of Griffith’s Babylon, this 800-seat Egyptian theater, originally a legit stage called “The Bard” is now a movie theater hosting hipsters in the Los Feliz area.

Beat theatre in LA. Come for the first showing of the day, and get a ticket, soda and popcorn for $14. Plus, despite being an older theater, it has modern style seats.

A historic single-screen theater, the Vista, while huge and beautiful, has the feel of an intimate setting, as through you're watching the movie in someone's living room.

Hot dogs! Popcorn is good, and I don't usually like popcorn. Always such cozy seats and plenty of room! Great theatre!

My favorite movie theater. Reminds me of Grand Lake back in Oakland. So vintage looking and they only play one movie at a time so it feels really intimate. Read more
