In the heart of the SoMa district, and neighbors with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, W San Francisco faces the beautiful Yerba Buena gardens and is a short walk to Union Square's shops.
Lovely hotel, lovely rooms, perfect location
Fantastic suites here are lovely. Among my favorite rooms in the city. There are only 6 of them, but Suite Night Awards often clear for weekend stays.
The bar is the place to be seen during conferences at Moscone.
Holographic elevators. Good location near interesting eclectic museums
Rooms are a bit dated. Lobby is a great place to hangout. Love the retro arcade.
Great service and cool setting. Understated vibe
Excellent, knowledgeable staff.
Noisy, poor service and clueless front desk staff.
The bar in the bottom is often overcrowded. Much quieter upstairs.
@DEFINEwines Exotic Rosé served On-tap up in the Lounge! #DEFiNINGmoments
:) live is live
Use the Howard St entrance to avoid the untz crowds
Try DEFINE the exotic rosé!
Wonderful hotel! Very high quality of services, food, and amenities. Ask for a room with a view of one is available.
Nice gym with see-through ceiling... you can watch the sky while you exercise.
Rooms are small but overall awesome vibe.
Really fun hotel. Swanky. Great bar. Definitely worth staying at if you're visiting town.
Loving the bar, absolutely fantastic! 👍😃
Once in a while I go here for a special event party. I shot here once too a fashion show. Or I demo my skills as a photographer at Bottles and Models one time
The gym on 4th floor is stunning, daylight floods through the glass celining. And at night, colorful neons turn it a cool space to exercise.
My favorite SF hotel
Yay in SF!!
Have a cocktail at the bar and order some bar food!
Other than the club music, this place has a beautiful view and is in a great location.
Nice enough room. In a perfect location for the conference center. Loud with construction on moma. Bar is great for people watching but $$. Can't make a dirty martini for anything.
The hotel might feel a bit cheap compared to other W hotels, I would suggest looking for another hotel.
Awesome place to stay. Very swank and they make excellent cocktails in the bar downstairs. Awesome combo.
The heirloom tomato salad
Avoid the hotel bar if there is a convention going on at the Moscone center. Shit can get weird.
The best smelling soap I've experienced in any hotel so far.
Home for the next few days...
Poor meㅜㅜ Swimming pool closed due to reconstruction. But gym is still okay:-)
There are better hotels than this. It's nothing good I really heat it. Bad service in front desk specially.
Found the glowing Buddha to be a little freaky but found a way to switch it off (switch on the side) but I like the Bliss Spa toiletries and the general ambience. The view isn't much but nice enough.

My favorite little big detail here is that they rotate the rugs to say "good morning" "good afternoon" and "good evening" depending on time of day.
The only hotel I've stayed I would rate a perfect 10. Pure Excellence...
Avoid expensive taxis and download the app Uber to take you wherever you need to go in the city
Little known secret- the complimentary hot chocolate @ the concierge desk is hands down the best in all of San Francisco.
New Year's Eve 2014 Party at W Hotel, San Francisco, CA, early @ Tuesday December 31 2013. Grab your tickets @ http://tinyurl.com/navdgtq
$52 a night for the valet parking - ouch!
The music they play here is chill and groovy - you can even hear it in the bathroom - never miss a beat!
Someday you'll end up back at this bar.
Free wifi in the lobby and meeting rooms.
My room has no Buddha..so sad :-(
